Yakuza 2: The INTERNal ExperienceLast week I got the chance to play Yakuza 2. I have only played the first one for a little bit but it seems like this one is more of the same. They made it so that if you didn’t play the first one or just need a little refresher, you have the option to watch most of the key points from the previous game. It’s a good thing that they did this because the strongest point of these games is the story behind them. Of course the game is still very cinematic in style and keeps the same look as the first one. But of course there are some new things in this one. The first thing I noticed about this game is that the dialogue was all in Japanese with English subtitles. If you don’t like to read a lot that might be a problem but I think it helps set the tone of actually being immersed in the world of the Yakuza. Another thing I noticed is the fighting has improved a little bit. The most noticeable way it has improved is your ability to attack multiple opponents with one combo. This helps a lot when there are enemies trying to attack you from behind. For the most part, the game hasn’t changed a whole lot which, in my book, isn’t a bad thing. Overall I think it will be a pretty solid experience. If you liked the first one, you will not be disappointed by this one. Everyone should check out the Yakuza 2 official site for more info!

I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Why Yakuza 2 has the same cover of the first one but in black and white?

I enjoyed playing Yakuza 1 but I no longer have a PS2 system. I upgraded to PS3. Will Yakuza 2 play on my PS3?

I actually played it on a 60GB PS3 here at the office. But it depends on the PS3 you have. I think as long as you don’t have a 40 GB one you should be able to play it on your PS3.
