Sonic Black Knight – 5 Days of Fan Art – Monday EditionSonic and the Black Knight is nearly here and we thought it would be a fun to release some of the Fanart created by fans. This art came from Sonic fans who were tasked with creating their favorite scene from the Sonic series. While the winners have already been selected, we really loved the art and wanted to share it with everyone in the community. Each day we’ll be releasing 25 random selections from the contest submissions. Take a look and let us know what you think, be sure to click in for each image as most are much larger than the thumbnail in the blog.

Some of these are really awesome. Love the 3rd one with the Whale Run, the Sonic CD render and the SA2B Final Battle art. The one by Samantha where Sonic swoops in from the Tornado is pretty cool, too. The “Sonic-and-Eggman” one right before the image with Knuckles and Sonic fighting is well done also. The “Sonic Adventure” one with the whale in the back sports an interesting look for Tails and Sonic, one that I can’t help but be impressed by. These submissions are great. I still wish I had entered the contest even if I didn’t have much confidence in my abilities.

These are all really great, it’s sweet seeing how everyone interprets the characters differently. There’s a nice range of the Sonic pedigree too, I’m glad to see even the lesser known or oft-forgotten games getting some love.

None of this stuff is horrible, I think that’s pretty negative feedback that’s probably more geared towards the game. It’s fine if you don’t care for the game, but the artists who created these images did a really great job.

Agreed with Clumsyorchid. For all you know, these kids could be pretty good at drawing Sonic for their age groups.
Everyone has their own level of ability and I’m sure all of them gave it their 110% ESPECIALLY considering they were hoping the fanart would make it in the game.
Quit being an intolerant douche and just enjoy the subtleties in the art. Personally, I’m glad to see the Rush fan art, but the rest is quite cool as well.
(Seriously, clumsyorchid, please make like The Sonic City Blognik and have the posts MODERATED that way you don’t have to deal with these kinds of comments and can just remove them from the queue before they even have a chance to get on. I wouldn’t like to see what would happen if these people got into a group…o___o)

Do the public care about being nice to children?
If you have to unlock these, I think a lot of people will simply be annoyed at putting in work for a kids drawing.
plus, I’ve seen some of the stuff that wasn’t accepted and naturally assumed that what was in there would be amazing.
to be perfectly, brutally, “intolerant douche” honest: I have to say I’m a little disapointed.
I am certain that if I knew these kids I would be extremely proud of them. But I don’t. So I’m not.
Sorry if this disagrees with your vision of a perfectly moderated world, belive me I know how that feels.

I don’t run the Blognik, but can pass on your feedback to ArchangelUK who does. I’m not going to censor posters, and I would much rather see constructive feedback rather than ‘This Sucks!!1!’ statements. If there is clearly time and energy put into the work, then take the time and energy to fully express yourself and explain why you dislike something.
Let’s put the name calling aside as well. Calling someone an intolerant douche isn’t going to help your argument and it certainly won’t get your point across any better.
Personally, what I love about the art is the very unique look to everything, sometimes we’ll have exact scenes that are expressed in very different art styles. There’s a care and love that you see expressed, and I think it’s great.

Wow, thank you SEGA for putting up my drawing. I was the one that made “Sonic-and-Eggman”. Kinda wished I would’ve really won the contest, but getting some recognition here is worth it anyway.

Nice, I love the Sonic Ornament! We’ll definitely be doing more Sonic Fanart across the blogs, we are planning on doing a regular feature since the Sonic Central pages have fallen far behind. Do look for a blog update about it following our 5 days of Fanart.

sonic and the black knight is 1 of the best sonic games that’s what i think!!! but more stuff and better controls could have been add and many more things too!!!!!!!!

THOUGH SOME COULD BE IN IMPROVED BUT NEVERMIND ;0 I DISAGREE WITH U #1 SONIC FAN I THINK UNLEASHED IS FAR SUPEIOR THAN BLACK KNIGHT THOUGH I LIKE THE GAME TOO I JUST HATED THE MULTIPLAYER … BUT HEY WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT 
I JUST WISH THE MOST OF THE SONIC FANBASE WOULD ALLOW PEOPLE TO HAVE OPINIONS
THEY EVEN BASH SONIC GAMES …SERIOUSLY IF YOU DON’T LIKE SONIC JUST LEAVE THE FANBASE FFS <_<
