Sonic Black Knight – 5 Days of Fanart – Thursday & Friday EditionOk, so we’re a bit behind in content for the 5 days of Fanart. Let this be a lesson to you 5 dayers out there, it can be tough to get it all together. No matter, with Friday coming directing after Thursday, I thought it would be a good opportunity to roll them together. What? You say they always do that… hush… Anyhow, please do enjoy this great selection from Thursday and Friday. These pieces will round out our coverage of the fanart for Sonic and the Black Knight Fanart Contest. If you are interested in seeing the winning submissions, you’ll have to grab the full game on March 3rd! And lastly, highlighting fanart is something we’ve fallen behind on with Sonic Central. We recognize this and wholeheartedly apologize to the fans who have submitted art in hopes of seeing it appear on the site. The good news is that we’ll be moving to support artists across the blogs until another solution can be found on Sonic Central. More about this will be posted next week when we finalize our plans, so if you have art that you want to have featured, save it up and we’ll show you how to get it in next week!

I can’t wait to see the winners of the contest!
However, I just noticed something: On the Monday update you said that you would upload 25 pictures each day. But there were only 24 pictures uploaded on Tuesday and Wednsday, and 45 pictures uploaded on Thursday/Friday (when there should have been 50).

Ah, you’ve discovered my shameful secret! It’s true, we are shy of 25 per day, but this was done while posting. We had a few duplicates and some from the same artist (I wanted all pets to be unique). Next week, I’ll post the fanart submission guidelines and the remaining art to bring us up to the total.

Haha. That’s hilarious. My picture of Sonic running from Dr. Robuttnik’s lazor fit with the style of the airplanes in the sky beside it… Except the one by the side of mine was much cartoonier.
Wow…. I wonder what the top fifty of the pictures are, cause this stuff is real great! Something tells me that the winning 20 are mind blowing and to take me into tears at the beautiful craftsmanship.

I am amazed by a good amount of the fan art over the past week-ish. Especially the one 12th and 22nd ones down on the right. Very impressive.
Great work to all who participated, though! Quite the talented bunch.

Aw, mine didn’t make it in…I did Sonic Rush because I thought not many people would do Sonic’s handheld adventure, but MAN! I saw lots of Rush! Well, in any case, every one of these pictures in every day is way past radicool, and I sure hope that Sega has another art contest like this sometime in the future!
I guess I shouldn’t be complaining, though. I’ve gotten two pictures on Sonic Central. Nice to hear something about that, too…considering it hasn’t been updated for a year.
