Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection ReviewsReviews of Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection continue to pour in, and they’re all great news. In case you’re not swayed yet, here’s some of what’s being said about the game.
Spawn Kill gives it a 9.0/10.0, calling the controls “polished” and “lovingly preserved”. They also applaud the ability to save anywhere you want in the game, calling it “fantastic”. They scored the game highest in gameplay and replay value, and called the game “quite the bargain”. Thanks, ladies! Binge Gamer also loved the game, giving it a 5/5. The reviewer said it made him “feel like a kid again”. He also really enjoyed the ranking system in the game that lets you build a list of “favorites” so you can easily find the games in the collection that you want to play over and over. Amped Gamer gave it a 4/5, saying that the games were ported “surprisingly well”. The original game art included on the disc was also a big hit with the reviewer, who just wished there had been more of it. Thanks to these sites for giving the game a go and letting us know your opinion.

Thanks Sega, such a wonderful collection that reminds us why we loved Sega in the first place.

Not sure how else to get this to the “Powers That Be” so I thought I would try this. I love the Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection, but was also severely disappointed.
I am thrilled for the opportunity to replay the Shining Force games and try out the later Phantasy Stars, but was really, really hoping that you guys would build in achievements for them. I would love the chance to play them and earn achievements the way I would with a modern RPG. What a trip that would be! I don’t know if you are planning any content upgrades for that program, but if you did, would you consider building in achievements for the RPGs in the package?
Also, I would be remiss if if I didn’t say that Sega could probably make a nice return if they ported over all three parts of Shining Force 3 as an XBOX Live/PS Marketplace package. Not getting the next two parts of that game still counts as a huge disappointment in my gaming history. Unless you’re planning a “D’s Ultimate Saturn Collection” for down the road?
I would love to hear back from you about this. Please drop a comment or a note if you can. Thanks for your time!

How about revenge of Shinobi III??? That game was why i bought it, sonic a lil bit but shinobi rocks, they should of had all three games instead of the two but i understand the copyright nightmare in the sequel (lol spider-man, terminater, godzilla, and batman LOL). But as long as were talking to the “power’s that be” How about a new shinobi game? PS3 and XBOX??? I would never leave the house! Bring back good ol’ Joe! or just sell it to team ninja, an additional character in ninja gaiden 3???
