New Valkyria Chronicles Anime shots revealed, and Valkyria Twitter hintsFamitsu recently revealed some brand new shots of the upcoming Valkyria Chronicles anime, releasing later this year in Japan. Some pretty cool pictures from the show that I wanted to share with all you interested Valkyria Fans: You can check out the full batch of pictures here at Famitsu. Also in Valkyria news, we’ve been updating the official Valkyria Chronicles Twitter feed (@ValkyriaTribune) with a hint about something big on Gallia’s horizon. Each day a couple new letters are added to a phrase – a lot of fans are already guessing what the phrase might be; and even then, what it means – but in any case this is a great time to be a Valkyria Fan. Keep your eyes out for more news soon – and, if I were you, I’d also keep an eye on the twitter feed, especially over the weekend…

Wow I havent picked Valkyria CHronicles up yet? Is it too late to get it, what is the verdict, is it a great and easy to pick up and learn game?

It’s not too late, although it is hard to find. i went looking for it today and all the stores “discontinued” it. I had to check on EBay for twice the normal price :/ But I hear it’s worth it, and the demo just touches the tip of the actual game play. Definitely going to be a classic game, the anime looks neat too.

I loved Valkyria Chronicles, it is absolutely my favorite strategy game. I really wish Sony had given the game the support it deserved. The critics loved it, but nobody knew about the game. Still, I’m glad to see that it’s getting some of the love it has so richly earned.

I think there are two pieces of DLC in Japan, so it’s probably just those leaving Japan (the game + 2 DLCs = three good things).
Still cool, though.
And if anyone wants to buy the game, it’s available on Amazon for $57.

I knew the anime wouldn’t be worth my time. Measily 26 episode count and, well…. just look at that art. Awful. Soldiers turned into children, chest accessories added where not needed *ahem* and that’s just what we know now.
As for the DLC, bring it on. Japan has three DLC packs, 3 PS3 themes, and many PS3 wallpapers so I hope we’ll get all of those. A trophy patch would be awesome. And I’d love if Sega would release the games soundtrack for free/purchase over the PSN store (small as it is, they do have a game music section). Don’t take the easy route and simply translate a DLC pack or two, give us everything you got!
