Valkyria Chronicles DLC is coming next week! The word has just gone out – Valkyria Chronicles DLC is going to be here sooner than you may have thought – as in, say: next week! The three DLC packs, which release on PSN next Thursday, April 16th, will be priced at $4.99 each – or about half as much as you pay for lunch out here in San Francisco. We think that’s pretty sweet. (So does Edy.) In other Valkyria news, the anime started airing in Japan over the weekend – still no word on a US release in the future, but it’s never too soon to contact your favorite anime publishers and let them know you’d like to see it! Oops. Finally, it’s just about time to make good on those promises of Valkyria Figurines and all sorts of contests to promote the soon-arriving DLC! Keep your eyes to the SEGA Blog, the Valkyria Twitter feed, and the Valkyria Facebook page for the first heads up when they begin! Last but not least, I’ve converted and uploaded a number of high res DLC screenshots to our Flickr page – you can check them out here. (Make sure to adjust to “Original Size” to get the high res versions.)

At the rate I’m going, I’ll have the game finished by this weekend…could the timing for the DLC release be any better? I think not!!!!!!!!!

I’ll buy the DLC and the game when they Patch the game with Trophy. The demo was great.

Do we have an estimated time for the release? I’m already filling out a vacation request form…

Next week? The PlayStation Blog post says “starting this week”. Who to believe….
Will there be a DLC bundle? I’m not keen on paying for a hard mode, but would pick up all three if they were bundled together for say, $11.99 rather than all three for $14.97 or in my case just $9.98 as I’d be skipping the hard mode pack.
On another note the JP Valkyria website (http://valkyria.jp/) has a bunch of custom PS3 themes and wallpaper not yet released in the west. Could you get some more of those up? Just think of it as on-going promotion of the game. Maybe get a trailer for the anime on the PSN store too…

Woot! Can’t wait! Been really looking forward to these!
I don’t necessarily even want the hard mode, but I’ll be buying it regardless just to support this perfect game!
Now, if you could just make the beautiful song Rosie sings available to download somewhere and get the anime out in North America (sane voice cast please!) everything would be perfect!

To all those STILL holding out for trophy support on VC, which will likely never exist, do yourself a huge favor by asking the following question while taking a good long look in a mirror: Will my life be different in any conceivably meaningful way if they were to add trophy support to Valkryia Chronicles?
In case you’re not sure, the answer is no. Amazingly, this will also apply to every other game that does or will ever exist on the PS3…
