Sonic Ice Cream and Gumball eyes!GUMBALL EYES!Yes, there is Sonic Ice Cream – and it has Gumball Eyes. That’s apparently what they want you to notice first, judging by the capitals on the front of the package. When a friend showed me this on Facebook earlier today, I did spot the gumball eyes first – not because they were gumballs, but moreso because they were embedded into blue hedgehog quills as opposed to being where they were supposed to be, which would be in that white area where one’s pupils normally go.
You’re getting very hungry… Still, even besides the fact that Blue Bunny has forgotten where one’s eyes are supposed to go – or maybe it’s just really difficult to place them right – I can’t argue that they do make some awesome Ice Cream, and Blue Raspberry is sounding really good right about now. Plus, it’s Ice Cream, and I’d argue that what really matters about Ice Cream is how it tastes, not how it looks. Want to find one around your hometown? I did some digging and it looks like this series started production in 2007, and you might still be able to get ahold of one. Sonicgear.org even has a tip for finding it:
So there you have it. Sonic Ice Cream is still out there, and you might be able to pick some up yourself this summer to cool off as things get warmer. Just remember – we warned you about the eyes. You’d think the makers of this would bother to put his eyes in the right place…
I like the idea though, i know kids that would go ape for this kind of stuff, and frankly I think the e-numbers would probably keep them that way all day!

I did some more searching and it looks like sometimes they do get the eyes right – probably all comes down to how accurate things are at the Blue Bunny plant. Still, I think it’s pretty cool.

Sega should buy them rename them to ‘blue hedgehog’ and make all Sega ice creams…
I want to see peoples reaction to ‘Seaman icecream’.
With a big sign on it the wraper that says ‘DONT PANIC’.

Very likely. It’s usually if one is ever so slightly out of place. Proof positive, though, that not even ice cream makers, as unbelievable as it seems, aren’t perfect.
Oh, and the other obvious mistake? Aside from Sonic’s body being a wooden stick? Well, the only thing I notice is that Sonic doesn’t have horns, where the ice cream shape does (I know it’s supposed to be an ear or something, but it looks like either a horn or he got knocked on the head and that’s just a rather large bump).

I remember these, first I believe there were Sonic X-Treme pop (the packaged reflected the classic Sonic design), then there were Sonic X pops, then another renaming (I think it went back to X-Treme at some point), and then this.
Yet no matter what they called it the pop always looked and tasted the same, X-Treme.

ah yes, I remember getting these at an ice cream truck at least over a decade ago. Sweet to see that they’re still making them.
though, With over at least 10 years, you’d think that they would at least perfected it: Apparently it’s still a bit messed up as they were way back when.
though, Whenever I DID get a perfect one, I did like to look at it first… And then scarf it all down…

;D I bought some Sonic ice cream two weeks ago! I was so happy.
His eyes were in the right place though, from what I remember… xP Too bad it’s gone now.
It was great though.
And that other obvious mistake… That blue nose, one part of his eye is extremely huge and deformed…?

Woah, they’re STILL selling this stuff? I remember being a little pup and buying this stuff at first ’cause it was Sonic and then fucking loving the taste of blue raspberry. I must hunt this down if I can find any ice cream trucks around.
