Wrap-Up: Happy Birthday Sonic!As advertised, Sonic’s Birthday event was held for Phantasy Star Universe this past Friday. Sonic & Tails were given the tour of the Gurhal system by kindly hoards of GUARDIANS.
In previous years Sonic and Tails have mostly kept to wandering the main cities of the Gurhal System — but this year, with GUARDIANS boldly leading the duo through numerous dangerous missions, they ran rampant around the game world, spin-dashing their way from lobby to lobby. Even better, they took advantage of the in-game Airboard Racing mission! Results varied — on the Xbox 360 servers Sonic dominated (Tails, not so much); on PC/PS2 Sonic’s footspeed didn’t translate to airboard speed, whereas Tails’ technical knowhow kept him coming in 1st place repeatedly.
