Shopping and Modes of Play in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter GamesMario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is on sale in the US and Canada starting tomorrow! All week we’ll be giving you some inside information on special features and interesting information about the game. Today we’ll cover modes of play and shopping. Did you know that both the Wii™ and Nintendo DS™ platforms have their own unique modes of play? Festival mode for the Wii allows you to play all the events from the Opening Ceremony to the Closing Ceremony to try and become the overall champion. This mode includes “Boss” competitions against unique Mario & Sonic characters. Developed exclusively for the Nintendo DS, Adventure Tours allows you to experience a new in-depth story mode. We’ll have more details on the adventure tours tomorrow. There are three boutiques and a library in the Wii™ version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games™ to spend your Star Tokens in. The Music Shop allows you to purchase and listen to music featured in the game. You can also customize your gear in the Sports Shop with paints, decals or banners. In the boutique, you can buy a new outfit for your Mii™. Finally,you can find out and buy trivia and information on the Olympic Winter Games in the Library. We’ll have more info coming up every day this week!
