New Resonance of Fate website live! (+ Free Music Download)What’s cooler than a brand new website to celebrate Resonance of Fate’s upcoming ship this month? A brand new website with two downloadable songs, completely free for your listening pleasure. The website includes a ton of info about the game’s story, characters, combat, and – of course – some multimedia, which we’re pretty stoked to include. It’s rare that we get to send out free songs for our games, but we’d love to hear what you guys think of it, and whether you’d like us to continue doing this for future games we create. You can check out the website here, or by clicking the picture above. Let us know what you think!

A complete Yakuza 3 would have been cooler.

Nope. The website doesn’t resonate, you’d better cut it.

I think the Japanese cover art is immensely better than the American one. I’m not sure if all North Americans always want the action-filled cover art that publishers always seem to think we do. An option to download the Japanese cover art with North American information would be cool, or even the original Japanese version would be fine as well.

The first track, assuming it’s the main theme, is quite good considering I haven’t heard the whole until now. The second is very nice, and reminds me of Kouichi Sugiyama’s amazing work with the U.S. version of Dragon Quest VIII. I’m familiar with Motoi Sakuraba and some of the Star Ocean series & Valkyrie Profile, but I’m eager to hear more of Kouhei Tanaka’s compositions (or maybe they collaborated on everything). Thanks for the free music.

Does this include the original audio (Japanese)?
Since this is a JRPG (Note the J, this is where FFXIII failed upon) …. an English Dub won’t resonate with me, I like playing my games the way it’s meant to be played not like a remodeled version for westerners.
@ Chito – yeah I prefer the original cover too but I think the localised one this time isn’t as bad as yakuza 3. I think there is like a trend starting with ugly covers for localised games, they seem to like smacking a protrait or either a full body shot of the main character(s) on the cover. Examples include FFXIII, Resonance of Fate and Yakuza comes to mind.
Either the designers have a bad sense of taste or need to go back to classes. But seriously there is already the original cover so I don’t see the reason to waste more time and money to replace. Or you could even save time and use the orignal (white knights comes to mind) or just improve on it.

Thanks a lot!
.
I hoped for “Freud Remnants” by Motoi Sakuraba to be in the pack, but oh well- beggars can’t be choosers; we’ll just have to wait for the game

Wow, I went to the Resonance of Fate site based on a Kotaku.com story regarding the free downloads. The music is good. The trailer that played while I downloaded it was better. This little marketing ploy has moved this SEGA game from another JRPG I would regretfully miss out on as a Wii owner into system seller status. The graphics are fantastic and the entire game looks like “Cowboy Bebop, the JRPG” (that’s a good thing). And which console must I purchase to play this game? The PS3 of course, so that I can play another SEGA game, Valkyria Chronicles.

So is there a answer to my question of whether this contains the original Japanese voices or not?

I’m looking so forward to this game…so far from what I heard they did everything right with this one…Japanese voice options are quite rare in this kind of games and this is also the main reason while there is no reason to import the regionfree PS3 Japan version …..I’m still worried about the clothing in the western release…the japan version has lots of cool-looking designer fashion and a Famitsu t-shirt…it would suck if they removed those from our version

Resonance doesn’t resonate. I wonder if this game is 100% intact or whether it’s missing lots of stuff?

Nice website. Glad you’re promoting the game with free music from Motoi Sakuraba, my favorite videogame composer ever.
On the other hand, what I’m not happy about is the release date of this game. Seriously Sega…going head to head with Final Fantasy XIII? Whoever’s responsible for doing that is quite frankly dumb. I can be a rookie working in Sega of America and be better than whoever decided this stupid release date. This game deserves to be promoted because it’s awesome (even more-so than FFXIII dare I say)…but to release an original IP just a week after the biggest RPG franchise ever? That’s just suicide…and one of the dumbest decisions one can ever make. You’re just asking for a commercial flop. Please delay the game to April so it can least get more breathing room. Nobody will favor getting this over FFXIII sadly.
If you guys agree with me, you can help the movement and start signing this petition. A game like this does not deserve to be niche.

Sweet. I am definitely getting this game. Already preordered regardless of the release date. I am also in agreement with the above. This game is gonna get steamrolled by FF13!
