Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll – Behind the ScenesIf you’ve seen the commercials for Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll, you may have wondered how the heck we made the real world actually tilt just like in the game. Was it CG? Fancy camera angle tricks? Nope — it was a big stage, a few pulleys, a strong & steady crew, and one brave actor. We’ve got the behind the scenes look for you in this video, and we’ve also included the final spot so you can see how it all turned out.
Pretty cool, huh? Well, it gets better. AiAi makes an appearance somewhere outside the game play footage in the commercial! If you’re one of the first 5 people to comment and correctly identify where this is (please describe where you saw AiAi and when), we’ll send you some goodies from Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll and Chiquita. (Please use your real email address when you comment so I can contact you if you are a winner!) Need to see the commercial again? No problem! The extended version is below. Best of luck!

At 0:09, on the second to the bottom shelf on the book shelf, looks like an AiAi figure. Can’t tell for sure though, the video’s a bit blocky for me…

Cool videos. It reminds me of when I watched how Nintendo did the Wii Sports Resort one.
I noticed a roommate actually picked up some bananas yesterday with those stickers. As far as cross-promoting goes, it’s not just appropriate (as Dole was). Putting the stickers on bananas gives a huge notice to the series. It’s the cheapest and best selling fruit. You can’t get much better than advertising on something like that.
Also, AiAi appears in the clip from the CG teaser and on the box art. Those aren’t gameplay footage right? Heh…

Whenever the white bookshelf is shown, (the first is around 0:10) there’s a photo of AiAi on the third shelf down from the bottom.

A photo of AiAi appears on the third shelf from the top of the bookshelf at 0:09 and 0:14.

At the beginning of the video, AiAi can be seen on the third shelf from the top. He’s in a photograph that is framed. Also, there appears to be a banana in the backpack that is lying on the left side of the screen. You can see it hanging out of the side pocket. Quite possibly, this could be a Chiquita banana with an AiAi sticker on it. However, it’s a little small, so I’m really just guessing here. This all mostly rangers from the 7 second mark to the 10 second mark and any other moments where the whole room can clearly be seen.

Alright, so maybe it was Aiai on a game cover on the shelf. So could I at least get one prize?

Congrats, guys! You will be getting an email from me about your prize packs. I didn’t respond until we had enough winners as I didn’t want to confirm what it was and give it away.

i thought the game was good and fun i mean the vocal music really interested me, but i think there should of been a Challenge mode and YanYan & Doctor shouldn’t of left. I mean it’s about time we had new characters in the Super Monkeyball Series. Anyway I’ll give the game a 9 out of 10

I saw AiAi appear from under a ladder, in the middle of the screen while the guys were pulling (moving the set) approximate 46-47 seconds into the video
