Not bad game still has some issues but hopefully they will take care of it before it releases also iv'e seen some of those leaked boss fight videos and am i the only one that thinks that sonic could use some difficulty settings? You can only repeat the same pattern over and over on each boss before it gets old they should make it random and different configurations for each level on different difficulty settings outside of that sonic should look like he did back in sonic and knuckles if it is following the same story and enough of my wish list haha.

I don't quite get why people hate the new music, its quite good, actually. You might bitch about the fact that it dosent have that classic feeling of the old songs, but give it time. Memory an emotion only grow stronger as time passes by. And don't forget that we expect SO much from this new Sonic game (totally justyfied, by the way) that we wont accept nothing more than perfection, witch we wont have, for sure. My point is that SEGA is making a lot of effort to make this game great, and it looks promising, for now. And people... Remember when Sonic 3 came out? For me it was a shock to see that the original opening song was not the Sonic 1 & 2 Theme, the music were different - king of pop different - the graphics were a tad different... What I mean is that the moment I got the game I did'nt feel confortable... it was'nt Sonic 1 or 2... but after some time, I grew to enjoy the game and it became an classic. So give time to Sonic 4, grow with the game and I'm sure that it will fit perfectly in the Sonic saga.

SEGA must have learned something in the last 10 years, so I'm not worried for this game. And if it sucks, you know what to do, I sure do, We'll yell, we'll burn our shirts in rage, cursing at SEGA... and ultimately, wait for the next big Sonic game.

the point is, your complaining isnt changing a damn thing. If u think the game is gonna suck because of the music, youre the one that needs to grow up. Sonic CD's american soundtrack was also said to not be good. Guess what though?? Its known as Sonic's best game. So whatever. Dont play the game then. Trust me. One bitchy consumer isnt gonna change anything. So keep cryin baby.

lol since when does Sega care about his fans/consumers, despite everyone's complaints nothing will change. Just look at how they screwed up the yakuza fanbase, pure ownage.

You're a child, therefore not worth arguing with.

The point is, the music is terrible.

quit dreaming. theyre not changing the music so shut up with the complaining. NO ONE wants 8 f**kin bit music in an HD game. 16 bit would be better, but until u become the music composer for a Sonic game, or until YOU ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME, i dont want to hear u complain. did u not read destructoid's article about whining bitchy Sonic fans?? YOU are one of them. Quit judging a game u havent played

The Sonic 4 Soundtrack was leaked online. It's awful. It's terrible. A true sign that Tatsuyuki Maeda was responsible for Sonic 3D Blast's soundtrack being good, and Jun Senoue honestly can't compose to save his life.

I hope someone updates the music at the last minute... Sega claims this will be the true successor to Sonic 3 & Knuckles, but it seems like they're not even trying at all. Nobody in Sonic Team, or whoever is running the show now, can recapture the spirit of the original series.

If anyone who carries any weight/clout at Sega happens to read this, consider getting ahold of the person who made this:
http://8bitcollective.com/music/ddrmaxromance/Splash+Hill+Zone+%28Genesis%29
And get some outsider help.

A laughable idea, to say the least... but Capcom did it with Street Fighter 2 HD Remix and it was great.

The amount of background detail is nice to see, even in beta. The composed music was heading in the right direction as well.

In my opinion, the puffs of dust would make more sense if he was running across dry dirt, but that detail doesn't work well with plain grass - especially if he's not running full speed. Personally, the lock-on target doesn't seem necessary and it may make the stages too easy to enjoy or everything look too crowded.

I give my kudos for bringing back his windmill running style - a plus if classic Sonic ends up a downloadable content for the game.

Thus far, SEGA, you've done good. Just make sure you don't forget the old-school fans who brought you where you are now. Keep it up.

Looks good, but something's been bothering me lately: how much time, in terms of story, has passed between Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 4? A few days, perhaps? How, in that time, did Sonic's and Eggman's physical appearances change from the classic looks to the modern-day ones?(Again, in terms of story)

When is this game coming out?? Does July sound about right? And when do you think we'll get a gameplay video of Sonic 4?
