Resonance of Fate Battle Tutorial Video

Alright, so I’ll admit it. When I first played an early, early build of Resonance of Fate many months ago, without any introduction to the combat, I found myself a bit confused – and a bit frustrated – by how difficult the combat was. I lost and kept losing to the point of frustration, and kept wondering “What exactly am I doing wrong?”

Then one day, I watched one of the Japanese tutorial videos for the game. Suddenly, the magic of hero actions and Tri-attacks, not to mention how to refill bezels, turned the game from frustrating into one of the most beautiful and strategic action-RPG’s I have ever played. Even now, I still find myself discovering new ways to play – and that makes me very happy.

Today, we’d like to pass on some basic tips and pointers to all those who are curious about the game or are just looking for some basic tips. Yours truly voices the video, and I’ve even included some more tips below!

Additional Tips

Refilling your bezels is the key to long battles in Resonance of Fate. There are a few ways to do this, including:

  • Destroying an enemy’s defensive barrier.
  • Killing an enemy.
  • Making things explode! (generally also triggering the above)

This is only the beginning. In addition, you can stack bezels that you earn – so sometimes it’s better to wait on killing an enemy in one shot, and instead destroy his front defensive barrier, then his side, then his back, and finally kill him after that – instead of simply earning one bezel back, you’ll earn four.

We hope you guys find the tutorial video handy – and above all, we hope you’re having a blast with the unique goodness that is Resonance of Fate!

Since videos like this are fairly new for our community team, we’d really appreciate your feedback. Let us know what you think, and if you’d like to see more in the future!
