You’ll definitely find passionate fans on any Sonic site or forum, and a mix of both positive and negative comments. But generally, I think even those that are ‘negative’ are so only because the people posting them are passionate about Sonic and the quality of the games. They love the games they grew up with, and just want to see the newer games match up to that standard. It is good to see that the Sonic series is getting the New Super Mario Bros. treatment and going back to it’s roots, despite the fact I enjoyed both the recent Sonic games and the classic ones (I’m an open-minded person). I am for sure certainly hoping to get a chance to play this game at least sometime in my life. On the other hand, I will just have to look at the news while I wait for it’s release. Don’t get me wrong, Spalsh Hill, Casino Street, Lost Labyrinth and Mad Gear all look nice, but i’d prefer a few New ORIGINAL levels thrown into the mix instead of it just being a rehash of S1/2 with pretty graphics… I’m also hoping they’ve re-done some of the music. The current S4 boss theme and a lot of the level music isn’t as catchy as sonics older tunes… Oh, and add Tails Can’t WAIT !!!
