It is a Huge news, I can’t wait to play thoses classics (I was a sega fanboy in that time), Although I have some of them because of the Sonic Mega Collection plus. The one, I want most is Sonic CD, It is imposible to get it for pc. I hope that I will come soon to pc.

If these games have online play, you might have something.
If not, seems like a waste of time unless you’re a die hard Sega fan who for some reason does not own a 360/PS3/Wii/Gamecube/PS2/Xbox/DS/PSP/GBA/iPhone/Whatever else these games have shown up on over the past decade.

This collection isn’t really necessary. After seeing/getting Sonic’s UGC for XB360 & PS3, that game collection is WAAAAAY better then this… Also for anyone who doesn’t have consoles, get SEGA Smash Pack 1&2, they also made Sonic CD and even Sonic R to PC as well, look it up on eBay or any other old video game store that sales them.

I’d really like to see Sonic CD on PC again. I’d pay for that. Comix Zone is intriguing too, since our old Packard Bell came with the Windows version of the game, and I’d love to play it again. Other than that, it’s not so exciting.
Bring Sonic CD to PC again!

Yeah, steam achievements, steam cloud, things like that are always welcome, and adds more value to this kind of release too.

This will be big meh on the pc. Anyone who has even the slightest retro experience knows of roms.
These will need extras, no drm at all (except steam), support high res, and be super cheap for them to even gain a few sales.

Not bad, but PC gamers rather expect new games to be released for PC.

Please port Sonic 4 to PC!
Ok, that was not on thread…
But this is:
Make a new version of Sonic CD for PC… The old one don’t work on new machines
You could also put on it to allow selection between jap or eng soundtrack (since both are totally awesome too…)

It’s always a good sign when a company cares enough about their old games to spell them correctly.
So not Sega then.

Yes please Sonic 4 for PC. I do not have an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. If Rocket Knight can do it, why can’t Sonic? You started with that All Stars Racing game, keep the ball rolling!

Fewer games than Sega Genesis Collection. Worse games than Sonic Mega and Gems Collection. Games that already appeared in Activision-published Value Packs in the ’90s.
You’ve had a lot of great retro announcements recently, including Virtual On and the Gunblade pack, and I thank you for that. But then there’s this. I’m not a PC gamer myself, but try treating them with at least the same level of respect as the console gamers. Considering that the console compilations were more thorough and often sold for 20 to 30 bucks, this is not worth nearly that much.
Consider this also: In the ’90s, Sega published a ton of PC versions of the Saturn games they were making concurrently — Daytona, Virtua Fighter Remix, Virtua Cop, the first House of the Dead, and on and on — as well as the fabled Sonic CD. Then Empire rereleased them for the post-DOS units, at least for a little while. It’s clearly no sweat to dig these Genesis games up, which is why you do it every two months. Hopefully, though, the old PC games shouldn’t be too tough to resurrect.
One last random retro thought: If you’re considering giving Wii a string of “Arcade Hits Packs,” the Virtua Cop series would be awesome, but so would a pack of fighters. Fighting Vipers, Fighting Megamix, and such — why not?

lol 35 bucks on Steam, no Steam Achievements, no online multi-player, nothing. Just 11 hastily slapped together roms. You’re out of your mind Sega.

Aww, got excited over nothing. What a complete rip off for those choosing to pay for these. Even the ps2/psp sega genesis collection had a better offering for a better price. Yes, they are on the wii via virtual console for a lot more, but no Phantasy Star or Shining Force, no Streets of Rage. Oh well.

Well, it’s out. And if it makes a profit, it’s not exactly a hard-won victory, since it took all of 2 bucks to make (plus a bit more for the marketing guy who Photoshopped the logo together). Thumbs up to Billy’s comment (#27), but this package is utter crap next to everything else Sega has already made available on consoles. I would say, “Have you no shame?” if it weren’t a waste of melodrama.
