SEGA at E3 2010With E3 just over a week away, we’re pleased to announce some of the games that we’ll be showing at E3 2010! We’ve still got some surprises in store, but here are some of the games you can expect to hear about from the show floor. VanquishDirected by Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series, VANQUISH™ is a sci-fi shooter that sees players take the role of Sam, a government agent kitted out with a futuristic battlesuit. A versatile fighter with a huge arsenal of weaponry at his disposal, Sam also has an array of martial arts skills that he can use to take down his robot enemies. The story of VANQUISH™ is set in the near future. Russia and the United States are vying for ownership of the world’s fast-depleting energy resources and the US has constructed a space station in order to harness energy from the sun. Russian forces capture this space station and divert its harvested solar energy into a blast wave that destroys San Francisco, aiming to force the US into a total and unconditional surrender. In response, the US tasks its armed forces with recapturing the space station before the Russians can annihilate their next target – New York. Conduit 2Conduit 2 is the epic sequel to last year’s award-winning Wii-exclusive, The Conduit. Picking up on the heels of its predecessor, Conduit 2 puts you on the embattled front lines of the war to save humanity from the alien onslaught. Travel to the far ends of the earth to put an end to the struggle. The enemy is everywhere and the deck is stacked — trust no one. Turn the tide with the most powerful arsenal ever assembled, and bring the alien menace to its knees. Sonic ColorsThe diabolical Dr. Eggman has hatched another plan for world domination! He has built an amazing interstellar amusement park, floating in space around Sonic’s home planet, bursting with incredible rides and attractions. However, all is not as it seems as Dr. Eggman has abducted an alien race called Wisps and is harnessing their colorful energy to fuel a sinister plot. However, before Dr. Eggman completes his evil plans, Sonic discovers his mysterious theme park in space. When he arrives, Sonic finds he is also able to use these alien powers and is ready to help! Sonic will need all his speed and skill as he faces this test, but, empowered by the alien energy, it’s a test he’ll pass with flying colors! Shogun 2: Total WarShogun 2: Total War will take long-time veterans and newcomers alike to the next level of strategy gaming on PC. It is the middle of the 16th century in Medieval Japan. The country, once ruled by a unified government, is now split into many warring clans. The player takes on the role of one Daimyo – the clan leader – and will use military engagements, economics and diplomacy to achieve the ultimate goal: re-unite Japan under his supreme command and become the new Shogun – the undisputed ruler of Japan. Set during the golden age of Samurai warfare, Shogun 2 brings to life the most turbulent period of Japanese history. Tournament of LegendsThe Wii exclusive weapon and magic based 3D-fight game Tournament of Legends features epic battles in fantastic fighting arenas where they will wield mythical blade weapons, launch 40 magic attacks, and dodge giant mythological creatures that protect the battle lairs. In intense one and two-player fights, players master a range of character and weapon based magic attacks; including unleashing, amongst others, a man-eating lion, Jupiter’s Storm, Thor’s Fury and a nest of venomous snakes. Phantasy Star Portable 2The Phantasy Star series returns to the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system for an exciting new adventure, bringing all new content and returning the series back to its online roots. Picking up three years after the exciting Phantasy Star Universe saga, Phantasy Star Portable 2 brings the series to its conclusion as players take on the role of mercenary to save the Gurhal system. Phantasy Star Portable 2 offers a gigantic dose of original content from new combat moves, weapons and character customization options. New to the Phantasy Star Portable franchise, online play through Infrastructure mode and enhanced social interactivity adds to the adventure for fans and newcomers alike. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode IThe sequel fans have waited 16 years for is finally here – Sonic The Hedgehog™ 4 Episode I! Featuring enhanced gameplay elements, including the classic Sonic Spin Dash, and the versatile Homing Attack, Sonic 4 picks up right where Sonic and Knuckles™ left off. With Eggman finally defeated, Sonic runs off to explore new zones and uncharted lands. Dr. Eggman, furious at the destruction of the Death Egg and the failure of his plans, puts all of his most devious schemes into action. In an effort to finally rid himself of Sonic, he revisits – and improves – the very best of his creations. Get ready for the next chapter in an all new epic 2D saga built for old and new fans alike.

“we’re pleased to announce “some” of the games that we’ll be showing at E3 2010! We’ve still got some “surprises” in store”
Thank god I read that, I was about to rage for no VC2 appearance in this post, at this point it is obvious the game was delayed, unless sega wants to release it with no announcement at all…

I can’t wait for Sonic Colors! And Sonic 4 as well, but I’m more excited about Colors! (mainly because it’ll be available for the DS).
I’m a loyal fan and true of the blue dude with a ‘tude! So far there’s only been 1 Sonic game I haven’t liked as much as the others, but I still play it anyway.

Out of all of those games they have announced for E3; Sonic Colors, Sonic 4: Episode 1 and PS:P2 have my main interest. If the DS version of Colors plays similar at all to the Rush titles, I’ll be getting both versions of the game. And Phantasy Star… That game is <3 as well.

@Landman: They surprised the gaming public by releasing the Saturn at E3, and suffered for it – I doubt that they’ll make the same mistake again.
