E3 2010: Sonic ColorsOne of the more recently announced titles we’re showing at E3 this year is Sonic Colors. It’s been a lot of fun to see people get their hands on it for the first time, and we’re excited to show it off. Although we’re showing two levels – Tropical Resort and Sweet Mountain – it’s Sweet Mountain that seems to be capturing people’s attention. Rails of candy cane, rockets of jellybeans, and layers of cake and frosting to drill through are just some of the food-related items you’ll encounter in this level. Not to be overshadowed by the hunger pangs, Tropical Resort is very lush, with lots of plants and greenery around. It looks really beautiful, and has received more than a few oohs and aahs from people playing at the booth. Along the way, Sonic finds creatures called Wisps, which are all different colors and each have a unique power. This guy here is the Cyan Laser. There’s also a Yellow Drill, that allows you to drill through the ground to reach hidden caverns of rings, and to make your own path to the next section. We released this trailer earlier yesterday, but in case you missed it, here’s a look at what Sonic Colors is about.
