Valkyria Chronicles II Community BLiTZ – Special Edition, Part I!Welcome back to a surprise special edition of the VCII Community BLiTZ! After the amazing reception we had from you guys here on the blogs, we wanted to keep you up to speed on how Valkyria is doing, both in reviews and in stores, and let you know how you can help the war effort keep pushing forward. First off, let’s talk about the reviews. What do the critics (and gamers) think of VCII?
Right now, the game is averaging a score of 81 on Metacritic, which is fantastic – here’s to hoping that number will rise even higher. The first weekWe’re happy to announce that Valkyria’s first week in stores was a good one, with fans all across the US picking up the game both physically and digitally. The game is also now available in the UK, so for all of you who spend with pounds instead of dollars, get out there and grab a copy! We’d like to thank everyone who did their part, and likewise to urge those who haven’t picked it up yet to do so – the first battle went very well, but the war is far from over. Every copy picked up helps us prove that Valkyria Chronicles is a series that deserves even more attention here in the west, and it’s a cause that many of us here are happy to fight for. We’ve mentioned in the past that there was DLC planned here in the west, but today we’re happy to specify that DLC will actually be arriving this month! All of it will be coming together in one huge pack, and we’ll have details on how many missions that pack will give you, as well as the cost next week! Still feeling a bit weird about having Isara as an extra character but it’s nice nonetheless. Great stuff all around and awesome games. Keep up with it, you created a classic for sure! Can’t wait to get more news on the DLC and free extras!

I am enjoying the game a lot right now. I’m in June, but it feels my class still has a lot to learn! I do feel like I’m learning a lot more about each character, and I have very compelling reasons to play all of them versus favoring just a few like I did in VC1. I do miss the option of being able to hear both the English and Japanese language tracks though, but I understand the potential space limitations though. Keep up all the great work!

As promised, I bought 2 copies of the game, I’ve been playing since release date with the one I downloaded via the PSN, and I bought today a physical copy at one of the local retailers, will buy another one when the other retailer gets it, so I can have a sealed copy for posterity! Meanwhile I’m writing a review of VC2 for a small site called pressxordie.com please look forward to it!

Loving the game a lot, it’s so addicting. The missions have been really fun thus far. I have no complaints…. but seriously Isara for the first code? She’s already unlocked with her sticker from having the VC1 save. I was hoping for a new character.

Dust – we’ve got you covered. It’s actually surprising how many people didn’t know you could unlock her with the VC1 save, so we want to make sure we cover her off first before we move into all-new territory.

In any case i’m so happy to see that some of the characters in from VC are in the 2nd one this time i wont let Isara die. i cant wait for more dlc stages. need more new stages to level my squad mates

This game is an amazing experience; hilarious characters and a ton of missions. The best addition to the Valkyria Chronicles series being the cooperative multiplayer, so even if you don’t have a friend to play with locally, if you have a PS3 you can download Adhoc Party for free from the Playstation Store and play with other people online. A friend and I do it all the time and the game performs amazingly on there, probably even better than Monster Hunter. Though, we have the 1000 series PSP and I’ve seen someone with a PSP Go having trouble, but that could have just been an isolated incident. Really looking forward to the unlockables.. hopefully the DLC won’t cost too much, because I plan on picking all of it up. Thanks for the awesome game.

Uuuugh, using the non-canon characters in vc2 so far has been a point of issue for me, since I really want some time spent with the characters that actually get story benefits than those who might just get class upgrades (outside of Marina, anyways <3)

Also, lol @ “Avan Hardins” being the Lotte Insider article writer, even if he does become EIC, I think it’d be more authentic if there were some spelling and grammar errors or if it read more like how he actually talks.
The bit at the bottom is a little confusing, too. Why would you enter the code AND do the link data? :/
