New Screens for Sonic Free Riders
Straight out of TGS comes some new screens for Sonic Free Riders, which is scheduled for release this holiday season exclusively for Kinect on Xbox360.

I really wanted a new riders game. I am gutted its on KINECT which I have no interest in. I was hoping the guys that did Sonic allstar racing were gonna do riders but sadly not….
Awww well this will be the first sonic game I wont bother buy ever.

Looks cool, but I’m definately not gonna get kinect.

SEGA, Why? Why are you making games for Kinect? It’s gonna suck. First you have to pay 150 for Kinect, then 40 for the game, which is 190 DOLLARS!!! How about Samba de Amigo for Move, House of the Dead for Move, and SEGA classics like Chu Chu Rocket, Jet Grind Radio, and typing of the Tead.

I love the Riders series (well, actually the first one, the second one could had been a lot better) and I’m glad to see it have online play, but I don’t have (and won’t get) a 360 (I don’t want to pay to use an online membership, I’d rather use PSN which has most of these features for FREE) OR Kinect.
Also no controller option is pretty BS. C’mon Sega, port the game to PS3 with Move/PS3 Eye support, PLEASE! The PS3 gets no love, they have the even lower rated ports of Unleashed and 06, and no exclusives. I have a Wii, but don’t port it to the Wii, they already have the Nintendo-exclusive Colors. >_>

Port this over to PS3 and Wii with wand motion controls! Call it Sonic Move Riders or something, this is absurdely unfair considering that this probably won’t sell nearly as well as it would on the Wii. The Kinect is the only reason I will not get this Sonic game on day one.

Sega could you release this game in the future on the Wii? Using the wii fit thing? I have an xbox 360 but buying that console was quite difficult for me with my little money and to have to buy the kinect for another 200 dollars, it’s too difficult right now when Im in college and starting to gather any kind of money. Well I’m hoping they add it on Wii! Because the kinect is bad for you. It causes radiation all over the body which is, bad! Sega, If your not going to add it on Wii, then could you at least make an option where you can play with a CONTROLLER? Please make Kinect optional.

@Sonic52789 “It causes radiation all over the body”??? Are you serious?! XD! It’s a camera!!! It doesn’t emit anything! And Truesonic and C.J, PLEASE TURN YOUR CAPS LOCK OFF. IT’S REALLY ANNOYING.
Personally, I think the lack of a controller option is a bad idea, and I think Sega got the message by now thanks to some *cough* outspoken fans…
But the whole “Oh, port it to wii and ps3 cuz i dont have a 360 adn i dont plan on buyin one!!” is a load of crap. If you don’t have a 360 or a Kinect, then buy one. If you don’t want to buy one, then SHUT THE HELL UP. They’re not rewriting the entire game in PS3 and Wii code. They don’t have to, either.
Now that that’s out of the way, I can voice MY opinion.
The graphics look really nice this time around, and Sonic’s model isn’t as skinny as others have been complaining about with other Sonic games. And from the gameplay videos i’ve seen, the game looks relatively easy to handle once you get a grip on it. I’m also eager to hear about the storyline involved in this game. And, of course, this will be the FIRST game to feature the new voices of Amy, Knuckles, Storm, Wave, and Jet (that is, if they speak…)!
Overall, although I don’t plan on buying this game, or it’s peripheral, I do look ahead to seeing some exciting and entertaining walkthrough videos on youtube. Well done, SEGA.

Sonic Free Riders is heading nowhere fast and is nothing short of a repulsive creation that ALL fans here reject. It has no need, nor’ right, to be on ANY part of the SEGA blogs considering the above facts.

I have to agree with Truesonic thats too many characters
some can never appear in future sonic games
Some only appeared for a one off/spin offs
Some were exclusive to Sonic X
Some are monsters you can never play (how wil lthey fit on the board?? XD)
Too many charatcers…You need to have the right amount…not too little or too many :/

I agree with C.J, although it would be cool to have Tikal in the game. She hasn’t really made a big appearance since Sonic Adventure. Since then, she’s only made cameo appearances in Sonic Pinball Party and SSBB. The Kinect idea is cool, but overpriced. I’ve been hoping for a Sonic Riders for Wii which makes use of the Wii Balance Board. Looks like that dream’s been crushed again.
Overall, the game looks awesome! 
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to beg my parents to pre-order that Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle.
