I saw the price for Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 go down yesterday, and I thought it was a permanent drop. Turns out it’s a sale! Anyway, any word on Sonic 3 coming to iPod/iPad/iPhone?

This is a price drop – not a sale – these are permanent for Sonic 1 & 2 (as well as the others on the list)

FYI: These are the prices for the iPhone / iPod Touch versions, NOT for the iPad. There are currently only two native iPad titles: Super Monkey Ball 2 and ChuChu Rocket HD, both of which are $4.99
Just trying to save you a trip to the App Store. :-p

You left out the word “all” in the first sentence and the strike-through went through both the former and the new price for Shining Force. Professional much, Sega?

Instead of doing bare-bones, sloppy ports Sega should really embrace the true potential of the iOS market and take the time to make/re-make a game and design it to run SPECIFICALLY on the iOS devices.
It boggles my mind that Sega can sit on such a rich treasure trove of IP’s and not be willing to put some effort into cashing it in.
Let me give you an example. Rage HD. Plenty of high reviews. Amazing visuals. Selling well. Now, I ask you, why won’t Sega re-make Panzer Dragoon or house of the dead for the iphone/ipad/itouch? Full retina display support. Touch controls build from the ground up to run smoothly. It would sell like hotcakes.
Look at Real Racing, Need for Speed..etc. All running on an iPhone. Great visuals. Great reviews. Great sales. Where’s Daytona USA? Where’s Sega Rally? Crazy Taxi? Fully updated visuals, controls, build specifically FOR the iphone. Yes, I’d GLADLY pay 20 bucks for a fully featured version of ANY of the games I just listed.
Sega just isn’t trying…..

Disagree. For one, because we have games on there that fit your wants / needs, but you’ve omitted them to justify your point. Specifically:
Instead of doing bare-bones, sloppy ports Sega should really embrace the true potential of the iOS market and take the time to make/re-make a game and design it to run SPECIFICALLY on the iOS devices.
I give you Kingdom Conquest – a game designed for and built for the iPhone platform. It is not a port. It is a unique game for the space. It specifically for the iPhone.
Rage HD and Need for Speed are, uhm, interesting examples as they are games that are based on games coming out on other platforms. They are tied to the development from these products. It’s not like ID or EA are crafting these as standalone experiences. Just saying.
There are quite a few quality games from SEGA on the store, more than what’s listed above, and I can confirm that there have been fans from each community tell us we’re doing it wrong before seeing their game launch. Chu Chu Rocket is a fine example, it’s an excellent game and probably THE most requested game for iPhone. To say that we aren’t listening, or to imply that we aren’t creating games for the space, is inaccurate and wrong.

When are you going to put out a wider selection of games on sale? This is great, but we need more selection! THANKS!
