Little Wing License update coming to PSP:2Good news for Phantasy Star fans – starting soon, the online servers for PSP:2 will be updating to help us keep the game more cheat-free and ensure that only players who actually bought the game are granted access to the free servers. Amidst the sound of weeping pirates everywhere, here’s all the info you’ll need to make sure you can get back online smoothly once the update hits!
As with any patch or update that affects connectivity, we’re sure there may be some people who have trouble getting online – so if that’s you, please also feel free to contact us at http://help.sega.com for customer service if you’re having any trouble with your code. For those playing on used copies, there is currently no additional method to purchase a code individually, though we did try to explore this possibility as much as we could for you guys. We know this was covered off back at launch, but just wanted to mention it once more as the question has come up before. Thanks to everyone for their patience as we worked to get these codes up and running as intended – as we hear more news from the dev team, including the final date that this will go live in the US, we’ll post a new blog here. Until then, please feel free to post here or to help.sega.com with any questions or concerns!

What should second hand owners of legitimate copies and those whose voucher was skimmed/removed at the game store do in this case?

Hi Mike,
I mentioned it a bit in the second to last paragraph:
“For those playing on used copies, there is currently no additional method to purchase a code individually, though we did try to explore this possibility as much as we could for you guys. We know this was covered off back at launch, but just wanted to mention it once more as the question has come up before.”

Lol. #1 Second hand owners don’t deserve the right to play a used title on the network. Tough break. Weeping pirares.

I’m glad that the license is finally being implemented. Makes me feel like the two copies I bought are now actually worth something, three months later.
On the other hand, I’m concerned that the already tiny population on the servers will now become even more miniscule.
PSP2 should be so much more popular. Where’s all the promotion for the game? Almost nothing’s been posted on the Sega blog in the past month. Forget codes, you know what would be more effective than a handful of B-rank collab password items? Actual, sustained promotion of an excellent game for the PSP. Maybe combined with a holiday sale and a price drop.

Oh shoot. Does this mean that those with the retail copy will have to re-enter the code? If that’s the case, then I probably shouldn’t have thrown away the sheet after I first entered it in. XP

While it will get rid of some pirates at first I can say that this update is pretty pointless since they’ll obviously find a way around it in a matter of days at max so theres no point to trying to get rid of them. I figure there should just have been no code required to go online at all since you have to buy a brand new copy of the game in order to even get online because of this. Also when exactly is this supposed to go into effect?

So if I got the game by DLC,does this mean I’d have to redownload it or something?

Hiya, I obtained my Little Wing license on another PSP. I have the same PSN on my new PSP, but can’t find the License to re-download it. I tried re-entering the code, but that didn’t work (obviously, but I wanted to try all the options). Is there any way to recover my License?

I just bought this game used at gamestop because it’s the only one left and I have to say this is crap since I can’t go online because I don’t have the damn license, I think I will return the game and get a refund. What a waste of 34 dollars. Forget this crap, I’m not going to bother with a game that punishes second hand buyers because they bought it used since it’s the only one left at the local store.
