A Sonic 4 Speed Run that will blow your socks off

That was epic. I’ve done a little over a minute, but that was pure speed right there. I wish someone would make a walkthrough with maps for all the levels. It would help a lot with the speed runs.

The level design is the best feature of Sonic 4 e1 and those speedruns demonstrate it. In the other hand with proper classic physics thats speedruns never exists

You know a Sonic game is bad/broken when a speed run doesn’t involve a single use of the roll except when forced by one of the tubes.
Because, you know, the roll slows you down in Sonic 4. Because the developers hate me as much as they hate Sonic.

What?!?!?!?!?!?! How?!?!?!?!?!?! Who?!?!?!?!?!?!?! What is going on in this video? Who has the skill to do this? I couldn’t even follow anything. The title screen came up, I blinked, and then it was pretty much over. There were even spots where I thought he was going to slow down. Sega, GIVE THIS MAN A FREAKIN’ TROPHY. I don’t care, just send him a Sonic Trophy. Any man who can speed run that fast deserves something from Sega of America.

Wow. What system is this on? On my Wii, it takes like 5 seconds to get Sonic to even start running (and if you dash over a ledge, Sonic stops moving for no apparent reason), but it looks like Sonic starts off running in this video.

Wow! I give immense props to the guy who conducted this speed run! My jaw was hanging near the floor while watching that! Now I’m determined to try to match up to this record, LOL. I’ve been working to climb the Leaderboards in Sonic 4.

Woooow…
That was realy amazing. I make a little more than 1 minute, but watching this guy doing the same thing , but with double speed its really impressive. Im satisfied with only finishing my game, or at least get somithing great, like Super Sonic in Sonic COLORS for Wii. I can play as it, but even playing as Super Sonic i cant get a S rank. It would be great if someone uses the full speed of Super Sonic to make something similar like this. =D

With Sonic’s 20th anniversary coming up, I would like to say some words about what really makes a Sonic fan a Sonic fan
A true Sonic Fan likes things about Sonic, not necessarily everything, but a true blue Sonic fan is someone who gets excited when they See sonic on TV, plays the games to enjoy them and doesn’t look at it like a critic, reads the comicsand decides whether they like it or not, they don’t force their opinion on others, they won’t flame you without good reason, they enjoy todays games almost, if not, as much as the classic ones.
A true fan? It’s hard to describe, but a true Sonic fan is someone who lives as Sonic would, enjoys life for what it is and prefers not to dwell on the negative, and is always looking forward to the next adventure. If youare a True Blue Sonic fan, you’re not afraid to say you like the hedgehog out loud, you enjoy other games, some maybe even more than Some Sonic games you’ve played. But one thing stays true blue, Sonic will always be a special character to you, as long as you live like he would.

i know this is off topic but im gonna compare sonic unleashed and colors. not black knight black knight just sucked i mean really a sword(no wonder i didnt see any commercials) why not a gun like in shadow the hedgehog even though that would be just as bad. ok any way my opinion it seemed that sonic was having more fun in unleashed for some reason i mean granted some parts of the story probably made him POed. But colors just seemed hmm i wouldnt really wanna say buddy buddy. its all just too smily. not that its a bad thing but. some parts were funny but on the story it was kinda the same over and over again. it got tiring. maybe its the voice actor maybe its the script.

Raflie – it’s not all about the graphics.
I played the same demo you’re talking about and agree that it’s pretty cool, but you can’t really compare something designed for the PC to something that was designed for iPhone and Wii, in addition to the next-gen consoles, graphically.

I am happy with having all S ranks and all Red Coins in Sonic Colors, and having that Egg Ship level challenge thing completed. But still… That sense of shame lingers…

Oh, by the way SEGA, a tip for the future…
NEVER had a grade point system if your not going to give a reward for all A ranks or S ranks obtained. I sold my game after that it bugged me so much. If you want fans to work hard at what they play, give them a sweet reward for doing so.
I was expecting a secret level or world to be unlocked. Like maybe featuring a Green Hill level…
Yes, I am refering to Sonic 2 Battle. Excellent reward for the hardest of players.
