Genesis Classics Arriving on PC in Massive CollectionSEGA America Inc. today announced SEGA Genesis Classic Collection Gold Edition, games for the PC. This special edition consists of 46 classic Genesis titles and will hit North American stores on March 15.
SEGA Genesis Classic Collection Gold Edition will have configuring keyboard support which provides a personalised gaming experience, as well as a multiplayer mode for a select number of titles. The save and load functionality included in all the games allows you to pick up and play all games at the exact point you left off.

Toe Jam & Earl not being on Ultimate Genesis Collection was my only disappointment with it.
If it also has Gunstar Heroes and some more unlockable Arcade games I’ll have to buy it for sure.

I’m going to wait till there is a total collection like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has then I will purchase it. I want to play Phantasy Star, 2, 3 and 4. This is a step in the right direction though.

I seem to remember hearing about Toe Jam & Earl being announced for Live Arcade nearly 2 years ago. Yep. It even won the poll for which Genesis game would be released on Live Arcade next! What’s going on, SEGA?

I don’t understand, why would they release another title, with all the same games from the first ultimate genesis collection, with only toejam and earl, and maybe 1 or 2 games that aren’t even memorable

Light Crusader? Nice! The only game imho that truly emulates the experience of Landstalker.
So, with Epic Mickey having been recently in the news, would’ve been nice to see Castle and/or World of Illusion in a collection. Can we expect this at some point in the future?

What happened to Shadow Dancer and Eternal Champions? Those were on the original PC Volumes, what is the point of removing them from this collection?

I’m seeing one glaring insult here in the form of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I bought Ultimate Genesis collection and it was awesome, but this somehow got overlooked. Both games are on the disc, yet there is no way to play the “complete” version of Sonic 3 because of the omission of lock-on. Any chance this will get patched for the consoles, or should we wait for this anthology to come to the PS3/XB360 instead?

You know what would be awesome? If there was downloadable add-ons for collections like this, so even if games didn’t make the cut (like SA2 on the DC collection) you could buy an add-on with the game in it. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS, SEGA!
