Spiral Knights: Available Now!We are proud — oh so very proud! — to announce that Spiral Knights, the free-to-play online multiplayer adventure developed by the wizards at Three Rings, is out now! This unique game, from the folks who brought you Puzzle Pirates, runs on Windows, Mac, and yes, for you iconoclasts, even Linux! Hopefully you had a chance to play with us during the game’s special preview event. If you haven’t, there’s nothing stopping you from trying — the game is, as I said, totally free to download and play, and you can grab it right now, right here: http://www.spiralknights.com/ We’ve been addicted to this game for a while here at SEGA. Here’s some of the features you’ll experience:

I totally agree, forums always complain that modern SEGA don’t have the magic of old anymore. I hate western artwork in any of their stuff, and the misleading use of this ugly word ‘publisher’.
I hope it’s a success for you Sega, but don’t see this as a misguided reflection of demand, because we want the japanese craftsmanship back, which Bayonetta reminded us all of.
Just do what Nintendo do, mine your very rich back catalogue. Add something new that is’nt simply inherent to the device (as with SMB 3D) then make lots of money and everyone happy.
*goes off to hunt on ebay for Xbox Shenmue II*

@Billy, shm — If you’re just going to blindly complain at every single thing then that’s not a very good way to be heard. If you just want to dismiss “Western art style” out of hand, as though that means something concrete, you only really show your ignorance. You complain about our use of “publish”, and yet that’s exactly what we did with Bayonetta, the game you mention.
Working with smaller developers doing interesting work, and working with them to help get that stuff out there, is one of the pleasures of being somewhere like SEGA. Everyone here has worked hard for Spiral Knights and has loved seeing it develop into the game it is. Releasing old games is fine but it’s silly to think that’s all we should do. Spiral Knights is a terrific game, and I am genuinely excited to be able to work on it and with the Three Rings team. Criticizing a game you don’t like is one thing; coming on here to blindly support something that has nothing to do with the blog and dismiss a game because of a few screenshots is just stupid.

Don’t worry about Shm, he posts the same thing on every blog we write. It’s spam, likely a bot and adding to the noise, not the conversation.

I finally got this up and running and it is quite cute and fun. It has to be the best snack game I’ve played in a while as I can control it with one hand and eat Oreos with the other!

I am gonna try this, just because this is SEGA title,
so there should be something into it.
But where is our Shenmue Online?
You can do the same for Shenmue Online, can’t you?
pay for it, get it back and make it yours and offer it…
Please, don’t let another Suzuki’s title never see a release…
I believe that beta Shenmue Online was ready at China Joy 2006,
but I guess, suddenly all the secret stuff between SEGA & Chinese companies
caused a never announced cancallation for this MMORPG.
For the love of fans, and even industry people
(that again praised Shenmue & Suzuki-san at the recent gamers heart japan video)
please bring that project back to life.
Shenmue Gai on our phones, Shenmue Online on our Win/Mac/Linux,
Shenmue 3 on our consoles…good for both you and fans.
BTW where is Virtua Fighter 2 Saturn and 3 Dreamcast for iPhone?
Best Regards, Ali M.N
