Being an official world record holder for some Genesis/Megadrive Sonic games on Twin Galaxies, I grew up with this music and am glad that others appreciate it as much as I do.

Wow, thank you for this post. I’ve never heard these.
I just realized how much the olden Sonic titles made me appreciate nature, and the environment. With the amazing details put into Generation, and the music to go along with it, I once again have that appreciation. The worlds of classic Sonic have always been beautiful.

There are really 4 kinds of music Sonic games are known for now,
-The classic stuff
-The Hideki Naganuma style Sonic Rush techno stuff
-The pop/rock music of the Adventure + games
-The orchestral stuff of Sonic Colours.
It would be totally awesome if in Sonic Generations, when the level was booting up you could select one of these four styles and there would be a remix of the level theme in each style.

Anyway yes, both Ubergrau and the OC Remix collab do stunning work with their remixes. I’ve been subscribed to their youtube channels for some time.
