Sega europe need to pull out the stops, and run a similar event on the same day at various locations across europe and Japan too. and have a real simultaneous celebration show of the game plus have consoles set up running classic titles from sonics past. and then take note of how many people want Sonic Adventure 2 available again

Great news! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.
Unfortunately, I live on the East Coast. If this becomes an annual event (and I hope it does), I suggest rotating the venue to different locations every year so that those of us who don’t live on the West Coast can have a turn. There’s a perfectly good GameWorks in Cincinnatti (hint, hint).

People asking for an event in Europe – Look up Summer of Sonic!
Anyone in the U.S. even thinking about going; if this is anywhere near as amazing and wonderful as Summer of Sonic was last year, it is WELL worth the time and cost of travelling for it. Do yourself a favour and get yourself down there!
I’d love to go myself but I don’t even have a passport! Plus got to reserve funds for SoS! =D

I agree, I live in Glenpool just south of Tulsa and I think they should have one in Tulsa or at least OKC! (Luckily for us gas prices are cheaper down here compared to everywhere else! $3.65 or something like that) so if they did have one here, we would pay not as much for gas, andwe wouldn’t have to travel as far by a long shot.

Sounds fun, but too bad we wii users are getting screwed by a company we’ve bought the Sonic series from for years. I can’t help but wonder what goes through your minds when you leave out one whole group of players to pander to HD which not everyone has bothered with (including on televisions). Shame on Sega for leaving some out in the cold.

Chris M - Sonic fans don’t all own a single platform. While we understand there are many fans on the Wii, it’s also true that there are many fans on Xbox 360 and PS3, too.
If you want to say shame on SEGA for not creating a Wii version, that’s fine, but take note that there’s a double standard: what about all those Sonic fans on Xbox 360 and PS3 who didn’t get games like Sonic Colors (in my opinion, a fantastic game) the Mario and Sonic olympic games, or the many other Wii exclusives?
The reality is that pleasing everyone all the time is impossible, but we’re trying to do all we can to make Sonic fans worldwide happy. The Wii has and will still get an exclusive Sonic title with M&S this year, and next-gen Sonic fans will get their first new game in a while with Sonic Generations.
Don’t complain; celebrate! It’s a great year for Sonic and for Sonic fans everywhere.

@RubyEclipse
We’re not complaining! We’re just not happy! You know what alot (not all) of the wii exclusives well… SUCK. Plus why do we need another M&S game! Why doesn’t Sega make Sonic Generations for all and then have M&S on Kinect and PSMove.
I hope you and SEGA are happy! >=P
Plus we do not get all the stuff on Xbox live arcade and stuff like that… They get all the ports! Of GOOD games!
