SEGA Rally Online Arcade Launches on XBLA!Out now on Xbox Live Arcade — SEGA’s own championship-bred, hi-def off-road racing game, SEGA Rally Online Arcade! Inspired by SEGA Rally Revo and SEGA Rally 3, SEGA Rally Online Arcade brings back all the features players could want from the popular arcade and console racers. Options include Championship Battle mode and Time Attack, and an exciting online racing mode that lets players race with up to five drivers around the world in intense rally action. The game features a brand new achievement system, 13 rally cars to choose from, and online leaderboards — gameplay is a blend of solid racing physics (and of course the physics of chewing up mud, dirt, and snow on the track) and the arcade-style feel of tearing around in a powerful rally car for lap after lap. The game is out now on XBLA for a mere 800 MSP — stay tuned for info on the PlayStation Network release as well!

Brought it, played it, love it.
Spent hundreds of pounds of the years on the Arcade Original, played the Saturn Version to destruction and same goes for Segs Rally (3) on Xbox.
It’s Great to see the corolla and delta back and the classic Desert Stage and Lakeside courses back, but really hope they bring as DlC the Missing Classic Stages aswell as the Stratos.
Also Sega when are you going to bring Daytona USA and Virtua Racing to XBLA… All classic Arcade Racers that are in need of a re-release.

I downloaded the trail as soon as I was able to, but was kinda dissapointed about the game.
First of all, the demo is to short. Just drying one track, is way to short for a demo… but I missed alot.
To make me purchase this game, I really need to be able to:
1. Change the camera to my front bumber. I don’t care how my car looks like
2. And I need to see some reviews to see how much this game has to offer, because the demo really shows like it has almost none to offer….
3. The SFX of Game Over shouldn’t be sounding this cheap, cut off and stuff. Was that 0.1 second to finish the sound really that expensive to add?
I do have to say I have Sega Rally already on my 360, so thats probably why this isn’t a purchase from me. but i’m sure for 400MSP this will be a purchase, or if a update can at least make sure the camera position can be changed. It’s a basic thing that you left out.

@ Peter van Dam:
You can change the camera by pressing the Select button.
I wish the game had 60 fps, like the arcade version, but I’d rather have a steady 30 fps than 60 fps with hiccups, like some console racers have.
I do miss the voice from the arcade saying; “Checkpoint”, and “Hurry up”, though. Oh, well!

I’ve been pining for a true port of SR3 forever now so this was a no-trainer purchase for me. My only issue is that Online Arcade doesn’t have the newer WRC cars from SR3, like the Citroën C4, Focus WRC08 and Suzuki SX4. This game needs a new car lineup badly. Still, I can’t get enough of the new static camera and Desert ’95 mode! Give us DLC Sega!

I would not be opposed to a bit of DLC either…it would be yummy.

Bought it Love it.. (Though it is smaller than Sega Rally on Disc for 360 it does feel more like the Original game.)
Driving round an updated desert track from the Original in 1995 on Sega Saturn was great last night..
I just Pray that they give us an updated Forest track from the original too.. I LOVED that circuit..

Wow. I love the Sega Rally series, but there hasn’t been a decent entry since SR2006.
When did Sega Rally (or any Sega Arcade Racing Game) have a fixed camera behind the car? That really killed it for me as it make the car feel like it’s on rails. It does not feel like a Sega Racing game at all to me.
“Inspired by SR3 and Revo… ” I have owned Revo since it was released and it is not this bad.

Loving the return of championship mode, I’m looking at this as if it was dlc for Revo which I already own, 800 msp, bargain.

@pudge (comment #14)
Yes, steering wheels do work but I don’t know how many are supported. I only know that I’m having a blast with my Driving Force GT.
