#SegaE3 Guardian Heroes Concept ArtHey Guardian Heroes fans! We’ll be showing off the game at E3 next week, and we’ve got some great concept art to get you pumped up for it! In addition to the great group image above, we’re highlighting two characters: Serena Corsair and Samuel Han. Serena CorsairSerena was a member of the Royal Nights: Red Group until she defected upon learning Kanon’s plans. She first appears as she warns the Guardian Heroes that they are to be ambushed by royal knights seeking the sword of the Undead Hero they found at the start of the game. She is later an unlockable character. Samuel HanSamuel Han: Previous member of the Royal Knight: Blue Team who left to seek fame and fortune as an Adventurer. The story begins as Han has acquired the Sword of the Undead Hero, and they are ambushed by the Royal Knights. He is arguably the protaganist in the story.

Love how it’s updated, but sticks so closely to the original! hopefully the game is the same way. Really looking forward to this!
I sold my original copy of the Saturn game for $20 about 8 years ago and regretted it ever since. Recently found a good copy at a flea market for $5 though, so I’m prepping for this games release by playing through the OG!

The only possible announcement that you could make that would be better than this would be a re-release of Panzer Dragoon Saga. Super pumped for this, as I never had the chance to play it.

I think Serena is really the main character of the story, she’s definitely my favourite. Her play style is the most enjoyable for me and she’s just an awesome, strong willed character!

So, I’m guessing the Old art is comprised of sketches from the original Treasure character designer, “Han”? Is the new art his as well? I don’t think Sega USA has ever told us! So it would be nice if this could be cleared up.
(I know it’s mentioned on the Japanese site, but that doesn’t help us who can’t read japanese!)

Who drew the new pix? For the record, I love Han’s old doodles (but they’re really wonky).

The new art is also by Han (aka Tetsuhiko Kikuchi). You can see it on the Japanese website, where he’s credited to the lower right of the drawing: http://ss.sega.jp/gh/ (“illust: Han”)
The older art is by Han as well, they used it in the Japanese instruction manual, and it turned up in game magazines around that time as well. It’s awesome to see it so clean and high res, I hope Sega will share more of the “classic” art with us!
