Sonic 4 Episode I – Now Out on Windows Phone 7The revival of Sonic and his side-scrolling adventures now comes to Windows Phone 7! If you want to go grab it now, here’s the link to the Windows Phone 7 page where you can buy it or get the free trial. This is Sonic’s first appearance on the Windows Mobile platform, and the “built from the ground up” adventure takes place in the old-school chronology of the series, picking up where Sonic & Knuckles left off. Sonic is back on the path to battle against Dr. Eggman, and his newly revamped mechas, vying to defeat the mad scientist in a race to save the world. Featuring immersive tilt controls, the familiar trademarked Spin Dash, and the newly incorporated Homing Attack, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I is a combination of reminiscent classic gameplay and innovative attributes that have popularized the franchise over the past 20 years. Join in the fight once again to defeat the evil Badniks and end Eggman’s nefarious plot once and for all!

I believe it’s Windows PHONE 7… But after Microsoft called Eggman “Egghead,” I guess it doesn’t matter that much.

Could we be expecting a release for regular PC? I have been hoping for it.

Huh, does the iOS version do that thing where the camera is locked onto Sonic during loops too? I don’t really mind, but it felt strange.

@Aaron — Actually you’re quite right. “Windows Mobile” was the software right up to 6.5. Changing it

It’s fun, same as the iphone version. Still wondering if the super monkey ball achievement glitch will be fixed though.

AngelusInsomnus – Yeah, it does that. Pretty annoying IMO. I’d rather the camera stay put.

“Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I is a combination of reminiscent classic gameplay and innovative attributes”
No offense to the writer, but that sentence is a HUGE lie (and you probably even know it). -.-

When will Episode II come out? Why would you have released the first episode without the other ones ready to go? At this rate, it seems like we’ll never see it. Most episodic games come out over a period of a few months, not nearly a year later (at least, it feels like that).

Is it me, or does the Sonic model in those screenshots look a bit smoother than the iPhone version?
