Besides giving me something a little different to read as I play through for the umpteenth time (also, love how skippable the dialog is now!) I think the humor is really good (I seriously laughed out loud in places) and the story feels so much more coherent. I don’t get the impression this is necessarily a more accurate translation, more like someone just worked hard to make sure it all made sense and was really entertaining. Big kudos to the guys and/or gals who worked on that! I’m very glad that Sega has started to take care of their ports, the importance of a good port/remake should not be under-estimated its the difference between bringing a gem back from the past and completely revitalizing the brand or killing it completely. Case point, look at how many requests came in for new NiGHTs and new Golden Axe game before, now that they were brought back and ruined those games barely get mentioned anymore… They are pretty much dead. I hope that neve happens to another Sega IP that I once loved. Please continue to do the classics justice! But look at the Xbox users, they are not satisfied with Guardian Heroes HD, they are already demanding other classic game to be on XBLA. I can see why they would go ahead and get a version of this game out on XBLA, but I don’t think I could have expected the extra amount of effort they put in.
