Sonic CD Spins Onto Tablets at GameStop
Sonic CD has outrun its own re-release date to appear exclusively on tablets being sold at GameStop! Right now, gamers who purchase a tablet, including the Samsung Galaxy, Acer 100 and ASUS Transformer, being sold at 200 GameStop locations and online at www.gamestop.com, will receive a copy of Sonic CD, pre-installed and ready to play today- far ahead of its official launch in December. This exhilarating Sonic game is compatible with the proprietary Bluetooth gaming controller being offered with the tablets. “After 20 years of working with Sonic the Hedgehog, you would think we have learned how quickly he moves, and how impatient he can get,” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “We just could not wait to share the classic look and sound of Sonic CD’s cherished gameplay and characters. GameStop customers will get to be the first to see the efforts that have gone into restoring this title for a new digital generation, and we know they are going to enjoy the results.” Following the classic story of the original, Sonic CD sees Dr. Eggman planning to cause chaos and take control of the future by stealing Time Stones from Little Planet. Sonic must speed through levels and travel through time while fending off Eggman’s robots to recover the Time Stones, and meet up with the game’s classic friends and enemies. Sonic CD will be released on all digital platforms, including Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, iPhone and iPod touch, iPad, Windows PC Digital Download, Android and Windows Phone. Tails has been added as a special unlockable character for this remade version of Sonic CD! Available from your second playthrough onwards, players will now be able to save Little Planet as Sonic’s high-flying companion, Miles “Tails” Prower! Check out our Flickr for some more screen shots!

Seriously?? Tails is playable in the new remake of Sonic CD? That’s cool! I sure hope that it’s just for fun and does not intercept the Sonic Genesis Saga, because I’m done with everyone debating on where Sonic CD takes place.. It’s BEFORE Sonic 2 darn it! >:[

you should REALLY make a shadow the hedgehog millions of fans loved that game you peolple will LOVE your guts if you made a shadow the hedgehog 2 and don’t forget to add LOTS of levels and the guns and swears also i LOVE video games and i was wondering if i could apply for a job as a game tester im 11 years old i live in Procter Vermont and i would be willing to play sonic games to mass murdering bloody kill’em all games and i have my parents permission to do it so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE email me

Tails? Awesome! Will Tails be unlockable for the PlayStation 3 version as well?
If so, then I’ll buy it when it comes out! I was gonna pass (I have Sonic CD as part of Sonic Gems Collections), but Tails being playable in my fav. Sonic game is enough reason to re-buy it..the only thing that could sweeten the deal would be playable Knuckles or, dare I say it, playable Amy Rose.

Sweet the last time tails was in sonic CD was in the hidden “see you next game art”.
Now where is the USA and Japanese soundtrack toggle switch so we can have both sountracks in the port of the game in uncompressed Cd quailty sound format on all ports?

I own the PC version of this game. It is an INCREDIBLY AWESOME GAME! And now, with Tails, I’m sure it’s EVEN BETTER! I reccomend this game for anyone who have ever played a Sonic game and loved.

Time-travel + Tails in Sonic CD? Sonic 4 storyline could tie into Sonic Generations.
Not convinced? Look at the classic characters in Generations – Sonic, Tails, Eggman & Metal Sonic. That’s it! Everyone else is modern, even Knuckles
Sonic 4, when they return from the future; Sonic CD, before they’re caught by Time-Eater A.K.A. the perfect reason to continue some classic-style sonic projects on the side as DLC packs for hardcore classic fans!

I know it’s subjective but which tablet is the “best” & least expensive? Once tablet prices become reasonable, I’d buy a tablet to play Sonic CD.
