It is great that Sonic 4 is getting a second episode. But to skip us Nintendo fans and owners of a Wii or a Nintendo 3DS. If the Nintendo 3DS can get this game i will be very happy. I don’t care if we don’t get it on the Wii even tho it would be nice to have it on there. With Nintendo’s download limit i can see why you guys at Sega would take this path with it tho.

I think it is a bit crap that the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog game in it’s series has to be purchased in sets at approximately £10 a piece. Which means we will be paying about £20 – £50 for a plat former with basic graphics and the same story as every other Sonic the Hedgehog game in it’s series!

I highly doubt that this game will be released on Nintendo platforms due to SEGA and Nintendo being sort of rivals during the 90′s when Sonic and Mario were launched with considerably similar games, although they have released games together such as Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games

Well, Episode 2 is definitely sounding good. But I have to complain: WHY WOULD YOU RELEASE EPISODE 1 ON THE Wii BUT NOT EPISODE 2!?!?! And don’t give me that crap of “We wanted to get the largest audience with Episode 1″. It just makes it sound like you didn’t even want to release the first Episode on the Wii, which also weakens your statement of “We still have a very strong bond with Nintendo”.

In that game sonic always pointed his thumb to the air, and shadow to the right.
I personally hope they’ll add classic-graphics as aa feature, so the graphics will be like sonic the hedgehog 1 if you turn this option on.
As for tails would be awesome to multiplayer with him! But sharing 1 screen in sth2 was kinda annoying, maybe a zoom-out will be nice? And if he walks too much behind/pas the zoom-out area he’ll fly to sonic?

estan pensando lanzar este juego para pc? porque la verdad que sonic es muy bueno pero solo lo pude disfrutar en la ps2 y sega no se esfuerza por sus fans para sacar juegos para pc…el unico que lanzaron para pc fue sonic generations pero olo fue el 3ro lanzado para pc luego de sonic r y sonic adventure dx…porfavor espero que esta vez no me decepcionen como lo hicieron con sonic unleashed o next gen…ya que muchos eran los rumores…oh casi olvido jejeje…tambien estaba el sonic & sega all star racing si no me equivoco…muchas gracias sega por tanto tiempo de felicidad

Hoping that “new physics engine” isn’t just a fix for the sticky walls, and that Dimps will actually make them tolerable, aka identical to the originals. Or you could just do a complete engine switch, and use the Retro Engine. Sonic Rush is fine, I guess, but Sonic Rush physics belong in the Sonic Rush spinoff series, not the main one.

I’m.. really kind of disappointed by this, for some reason. I don’t know if it’s because it’s just an update of the Sonic 2 logo but with modern-version characters and a weird smile on Sonic, or what, but… something’s not jiving with me and I’m not nearly as excited as I was for Episode 1 when I saw that logo.
Hopefully some gameplay trailers will assuage my concerns.

Nintendo Console Owners – I sympathise (I’m a Wii owner too) BUT I’d suggest be patient and see what gets announced closer to the date instead of making demands off SEGA on a blog where likely nobody who could make that kind of difference will see it. Whether we like it or not, file size is a serious issue for WiiWare downloads like Sonic 4, but there could be Wii-U announcements further down the line. It sucks, but simply put, would you buy Episode II on the Wii if it meant a noticeable cut in quality/length of the game and its music just to fit it on there in the first place? Personally I’d want to play the full game in all its intended glory, without an entire Zone (or something) missing to fit it into the download limit. The only way Wii owners would get the full game is if they produced it and sold it in stores – and that would come at a higher production cost thus higher prices than the downloads on other platforms, and then we would all be complaining about the extortionate prices being extracted from Wii owners compared to those on other platforms, etc.
Like I said, I’m a Wii owner too, but I’m fully aware that, at 5 years old, the Wii is at the end of its lifecycle now that the Wii-U has been announced, and I don’t expect many places to still be hard at work producing new titles for it as people are probably hard at work developing Wii-U games. Which I look forward to, if any of them are brand new Sonic games

Project Needlemouse as a whole just seems to be stuck in the gray area between nostalgia and progression. I’m not saying it’s bad, just awkward.
If Sonic 4 was really the follow-up to Sonic 3, it would have a similar styling to Knuckles Chaotix.

its funny to see people saying its finally happening or nostalgia or acting like they have been waiting for this ther whole life. these are modern versions of sonic and tails and completely different graphics which isn’t real true 2d graphics and dont even know the gameplay or physics yet. now how does that have any nostalgia at all or relate to the old sonic games other then slapping a old sonic logo and giving a crappy gimmick illusion of old sonic games. i have no option but to think these are kids acting like they been playing sonic since the beginning and acting like cause of this game they brought back sonic’s true gameplay. which they have not. this game is most likely to be smoke and mirrors of a horrible attempt to capture sonic old gameplay mixed in modern graphics world like the horrible attempt of the last so called episode.

As expected, Tails is officially confirmed in Episode II and the logo really shows! (I have to agree with some of the commentators here that the character poses look out of place. Hopefully, Sonic Team will probably fix that in the title screen) Speaking of which, if there were to be a third episode, putting Knuckles into the lot would be really sweet…

I can’t tell you how excited I am for this game, and whatever you guys are capable of with Sonic! I’m sure Sonic Team is putting their highest efforts into makeing this game as perfect as they can. I love the remake of the Sonic 2 logo. I can’t wait to see the animation of the title screen. I can’t wait for the trailers. I mos definitely can’t wait to play as Tails. However, this NEEDS to be on Wii. One way or another, you can’t have Episode 1 for Wii and Episode 2 not. I saw that trailer and nearly began to hyperventilate. When I heard it wouldn’t be on Wii, my heart sank. I hate how people act towards both Wii and Sonic, and I wish I could stop it, but a very large portion of your fanbase are Nintendo fans. Please, find a way to get this game to a Nintendo console. I saw that somebody wrote you might not because you used to be rivals, but that has nothing to do with it. Please release the information that will tell us what Nintendo fans can look forward to, whether or not it’s Sonic 4-related, we need something other than Generations 3DS. That game passed over much more quickly than the console version.

i love it! but theres something thats awkward about it, cant put my finger on it. i guess the first thing i noticed was the expressions on their faces, Tails seems a little unsure and worried and Sonics lip looks funny. then i noticed the big green space in the middle, like the green but the space is a lil to much? dunno, but anyways, well done Sega for bringin Tails into it!!
hope tails will eventually get his own game!!

why would you think that with the feedback, extra money, and NO SONIC TEAM or DIMPS that the gameplays gonna be worse than ep. 1? All i was saying is that all these fans havent even seen gameplay and now are throin hissy fits because of sonic’s lips. This game will rock cuz it has sonic, and metal sonic! couldn’t give a fuck about tails tho XD. The only thing good about tails is maybe multiplayer if its even in it!

Sega hi, when are you going to allocate Naofumi Hataya and Masafumi Ogata as the composers of future Sonic games?. Everybody agrees that the ep1 soundtrack was dreadful, needs more Sonic CD inspired music to make it perfect. Make it happen please.
