Will this have Move support like House of the Dead Overkill? That’ll be my deciding factor.

So you have to pay to play a demo…. Seriously? Who makes these kind of decisions and why hasn’t he been fired yet.

Played it today, sorry to say Wow Entertaiment or whoever ported this, but this was a rather lazy port. Not content wise, just the fact that after 9 years from it’s original arcade release, it’s still not had a perfect port.
The main problem here isn’t actually graphics or gameplay whatever, but it’s the sound, It’s still missing quite a few sounds that were actually present in the Arcade/Wii version. Such as when ‘Death’ (First Stage Boss) breaks through the floor outside, it’s missing that smash sound and it sounds rather weird without it, Also I’ve noticed that in the Arcade and the Wii version there were pitch differences between Zombie sounds when they were shot, rather than just having the same sound at the same pitch. It’s monotonous having the same sound over and over again.
Also, one bug I STRONGLY URGE you to patch or fix before the games official release is the Shotgun firing sound, it cancels itself out whenever a new shot is fired, unlike any other release, where the sound wouldn’t cut if another shot was fired.
However, I am looking forward to House of the Dead 4, I am extremely excited to finally play that in the comfort of my own home, and all I ask of whoever’s porting these games as to make it as perfect as possible.

Also the ‘Now Loading’ bit during the Chapter names wasn’t really necessary.

Also another silly mistake to fix in the menu is where you have a selection called ‘Extra Contents’ I understand whoever ported this might not necessarily be English, or it might just even be a typo but please fix this to ‘Extra Content’ or even ‘Bonus Content’

@asdf (if that is your real name) You do not have to pay to play the demo. It’s available now for PS Plus members, and will be available on February 22 to all PSN users.
Other answers (sorry to lump them all together) This game does have Move support. The game will be released to everyone for $6.99 on Valentine’s Day. However, PS Plus members who purchase the game before February 28 will receive a 30% discount.
Craig – thanks for all your feedback – I’m so glad you’ve already checked out the demo. I passed your feedback along.

Also I feel so terrible for moaning, but auto-reload on a move game is not good a good idea, please bring back ‘Shoot off-screen to reload’ function.

Now this i love to see, sega getting more light guns games on consoles, on e of the very few companies that can get the motion controls to work like a proper light gun game
Love the HotD series and can’t wait for number 4 this year. already have HotD 3 but as with HotD Overkill this will be a must purchase on the PS3 even though i may have it on the Wii.
Please bring more of your more recent light gun games onto consoles sega, would love to see the Virtua Cop series and even ghost squad and confidential mission etc. Vampire nights really needs a release too completed it in the arcades but would love to play it again with trophies.

Why is there no Guncon 3 support for HotD 3 / Overkill Extended, Sega used to support Guncon 2 on PS2 (Virtua Cop Rebirth, Vampire Night). I know that Guncon 2 had bigger userbase, but none the less Guncon 3 would have been awesome.

I’m really really disapointed at sega/sony, i will not buy these games till they patch it for guncon 3.
Every one that is fine with move, try playing a game with guncon to see the difference. The aiming is 500% better and you don’t need to see the red or blue marker on the scrren witch for mee totally ruins the game.
Sorry Sega, don’t know what was the idea…are you mad with namco? or just recived money from sony to try to sell some more moves?
