Spend Your Valentine’s Day Hunting for Creatures with House of the Dead 3The House of the Dead 3 hits PSN today. This HD release of the classic horror arcade shooter, fully updated with trophies and PlayStation Move support, is available exclusively on the PlayStation Store today for $6.99. “We know not everyone has easy access to an arcade with a House of the Dead cabinet, so we wanted to give players around the world the chance to have that same experience in their living rooms,” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “We hope everyone enjoys The House of the Dead 3’s classic gameplay and new features, and look forward to introducing console owners to the fourth, previously arcade-only, installment later this spring.” The House of the Dead 3 added a number of key features to the series’ creature-shooting roots, including interactive “rescue events” and a ranking and grading system that tracks each agent’s shot accuracy. This new console version of The House of the Dead 3 can be played using a PlayStation Move controller or a standard PlayStation controller, and as a special bonus SEGA has also included a unique reward for players to earn in-game: their very own virtual The House of the Dead 3 arcade cabinet for their PlayStation Home space! PlayStation Dynamic ThemeAs I mentioned last week, PS Plus members can get a free dynamic theme and avatars – we’ve got a few sneak peeks at the the theme over on our Flickr!

That’s cool and all but if you really loved us we would be seeing it on both XBLA and PSN as xbox desperately needs a light gun shooter.
Only you can provide SEGA…and we on xbox still have a broken heart

Hello, my name is Eric Rice and I won fourth place in the Ode to the Creatures of The House of the Dead and was wondering when the prizes would be shipped out. I was also wondering if I could get a free game code as well, I know the the prize approximate retail value didn’t account for it, but in my opinion first and second should have won the playstation move, sharpshooter and the game code, third, fourth and fifth should have won the playstation sharpshooter and the game code, and lastly sixth, seventh, and eighth should have won the game code. Thank you for your time.

Why :/ That’s such a major blow as I was looking forward to finally getting to play this once again. Cheers Sega…

Hi Eric – Please check your email. We mailed your prize but it was returned because the address was missing a suite number.

International Sega buddies, to the best of my knowledge HOTD3 should have been available yesterday. I’m looking into it right now.

Really annoyed at the amount of bugs in this game, whilst playing through the first chapter I had a very annoying ‘Red Overlay’ on the screen as seen here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zujo8j9bow
The sounds are still not fixed there seems to be a problem with the shotgun sound, and how it cancels out nearly every sound currently playing bar the music. Sounds don’t overlay each other they just cancel each other out, sounds are still missing from when the first boss breaks through the floor on stage one.
‘Extra Contents’ is also bad grammar, Extra Content or Bonus Content would’ve been more appropriate.
Pretty lazy port, sorry for whining just please update or fix these bugs, I just really don’t want to see House of The Dead 4 ported this bad.

Hi Craig, I appreciate your love of HOTD and did pass along your feedback. Please understand that sometimes these things take longer than a week to fix.

Hi Mike, Very sorry but HOTD 2 was never a part of the HOTD 3 coming to PSN. However, HOTD 4 will be coming out soon as a separate purchase.

Hello, hate to bump, but I gotta ask this beaus it seem like no one else on the net actually knows this. What is the correct requirements to get the different endings in HOTD 3? Some peopl think it’s points based (like HOTD 1 and 2), some think it varies based on what path you take in the beginning of the game, etc. Can anyone at sega set the record straight? Thanks
