Thank You!! And here I thought you guys had given up on putting more Dreamcast games up for download! Now we need Shenmue 1 and 2 and a port of PSO with working multiplayer support
Posted by Tim on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:10 am
This should make a lot of people very happy, even if it’s just a re-release of the first two titles.
Posted by Jeff Rivera on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:11 am
Please bring us more old titles in HD! Like the Panzer Dragoon games!

Posted by Tommy on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:37 am
Usually reporting news stories like this bores me to tears. But nothing this week has been as exciting to me as the news that I’ll own a HD copy of JSR soon.
Posted by Bryan @ HEET on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:39 am
It’s about dang time….
But any chance you guys couldn’t also bring these DC ports to Portables like 3ds & vita?
Posted by Brian on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:39 am
Sega! What about a PC version?
Posted by WhySega on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:41 am

Sonic adventure threee or shenmue and it better be good please please please!
Posted by Nate gipson on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:44 am
@ Jc: I’ve played Space Channel 5 on Steam, and maybe it’s better that they didn’t, honestly. I’d rather play a version that Sega can make work.
Posted by Frogacuda on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:45 am
What’s this crap? Give us the Sonic 4 trailer not this. It’s an hour late.
Posted by Chris K. on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:47 am
This is great news!!! Widescreen and PS Move/Kinect support pretty please! Oh, and now that you’re increasing my apetite, port Shenmue and Sonic Adventure 2! *throws money at SEGA*
Posted by bz on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:48 am
No its Jet Set Radio that’s how it was in JPN and EU, just because America is weird doesn’t mean the rest of us are.
Posted by BTHRZeroX on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:50 am
Posted by Kolma on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:51 am
You package up the first two games in an HD collection, bundle in the soundtrack, and I’d buy one at retail. I’d buy three.
Posted by Jason Evangelho on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:52 am
Sega can you please release Jet Set Radio on Steam
Posted by please on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:53 am
SEGA you’re going to need to say what songs are getting cut from the soundtrack before I can care about this.
Posted by Lainer on February 23rd, 2012 at 9:54 am
What? Your bringing back the dreamcast? Sweet! oh wait…
*cough How about a DC2 *cough

OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOD!!! NINTENDO SIXTY FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUR!! THANKS SEGA, THANKS!!! (Then a new JSR) xD
Posted by Pejota on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:03 am
Good. But please dont forget that the release date for Binary Domain is near. Please dont forget the adds and marketing. Binary Domain is the future, JSR is the past. The SEGA fans need to look for the future, not for the past.
Posted by SEGA_Portuguese on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:24 am
Cautious eye. Two Questions, guys:
1) Will the music survive? I don’t want any ‘Crazy’ repeats. Dragula must live!
2) Will it still support custom-image downloading like the original did? Microsoft policies be damned, if I can upload JPEGS from my flash drive and use them in-game, I want to keep doing that!
Posted by Freakservo on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:27 am
I will purchase this. Just tell me when.
Also, I am sure many of us would purchase a new entry into the JSR franchise…
Posted by Bruce on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:28 am
JSR is the past, the present and THE JSR FUTURE!!! muajajaja. Binary Domain Fail, JSR god of godness >:D
Posted by Pejota on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:28 am
Sega saying guess whos back i was excited but a new space channel 5 game the only sega game i can think of i can’t stand turn out to be a dissapointment. Give us panzar dragoon saga and a new streets of rage. Even a re relase of jsr or a new jsr.
Posted by jon on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:32 am
I’ve been waiting years for this, I love you so much right now, SEGA! <3
Now about that NiGHTS port…

Skies of Arcadia next plz.
Posted by Coach Z on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:37 am
I’m going to wish for De La Jet Set Radio, but realistically the fewer cuts the better. Perhaps any gaps could be filled with more Deavid Soul? I at least hope he doesn’t get cut.
Posted by S-T-H on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:44 am
This is Awesome! However, I am still waiting for Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram to come out on PSN too……….
Posted by SegaFanac on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:44 am
Super excited for this, just don’t treat it like SC5p2 where you don’t release it on live until like a year after the disc release

Posted by sharky on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:53 am
Steam version please. PLEASE.
Posted by Nick Johnson on February 23rd, 2012 at 11:04 am
It was only broken at launch, they’ve fixed it like day 1, unless you’re talking about some of the stuff they broke other than saving, which was broken in all versions.
Posted by Nick Johnson on February 23rd, 2012 at 11:15 am
It’s great to see an XBLA/PSN version of Jet Set Radio HD, I’ll definitely be getting that day one. Still hoping to see HD versions of the Panzer Dragoon games one day.
Posted by Draikin on February 23rd, 2012 at 11:24 am
As much as im happy to see Dreamcast ports to XBLA and PSN, its an insult that each of the games released is not Shenmue. Until that day comes, i will just shrug and continue waiting……

Posted by Shawndell Rivers on February 23rd, 2012 at 11:42 am
Please please PLEASE let it be the European version, called Jet SET Radio with the same sound track. It was far more fitting and goes well with the sequel Jet Set Radio Future! Or atleast include the option or make the name depend on region!
I’m so excited!!
Posted by Juan on February 23rd, 2012 at 11:55 am
Will definitely buy if it comes to Steam.
Posted by Chris on February 23rd, 2012 at 11:56 am
Haha, everyone is like “JET SET RADIO!” and I’m like….. “They said Dreamcast game, that would make it Jet Grind Radio, no?” =D
Definitely need Jet Set Radio Future remade as well. I wants that on PSN.

JET SET RADIO!!!
what? it was a dreamcast game. jet set radio.
Posted by Lloyd on February 23rd, 2012 at 1:09 pm
Please use the Japanese JSR soundtrack and not the lousy US version. That’s the only way m buying it.
Posted by Bonk on February 23rd, 2012 at 1:41 pm
I’m thought the soundtracks were the same, except jp version had 2 extra tracks….
Posted by Lloyd on February 23rd, 2012 at 2:41 pm
I so wish that this was going to be a new entry in the franchise (as in, Jet Set Radio 3), but it’s probably just a re-release. Still, Jet Grind Radio is good stuff, and all the non-Dreamcast-owning young-un’s will at least get a chance to play it now.
I miss Smilebit.
Posted by Ryan D. on February 23rd, 2012 at 2:54 pm
Finallly!!! More of this please (and we’d still like Guardian Heroes on PSN…)
Posted by Lee on February 23rd, 2012 at 2:57 pm
Also, the original Professor K is probably my favorite voice actor in any video game.
Posted by Ryan D. on February 23rd, 2012 at 2:57 pm
Sega need to get with the times and release the game on the PC via Steam. Games like REZ HD, Daytona USA HD, Bayonetta, Vanquish, etc, are long overdue on the platform.
Posted by Jumpin Jack Flash on February 23rd, 2012 at 3:01 pm
YESSSSSS GONNA GET IT FIRST DAY this is probaly the second best thing that could happen with the series (first being a new jet grind radio)
Posted by Josh on February 23rd, 2012 at 3:02 pm
63/64: Versus the original JP release, the western versions had several more tracks (to go along with the new US-inspired areas). There may have been like one JP-exclusive track, but asking for the JP set versus the US or PAL sets is asking for a pretty serious straight-up cut in available music. The best scenario is probably seeing something like De La Jet Set Radio (which supposedly had all of the tracks).
Posted by S-T-H on February 23rd, 2012 at 3:24 pm
Kate and SEGA: i wanna say sorry for my post. You guys are always working hard to give us the best and even so, people are always complaining. Im very sorry for my rant. I just think that Binary Domain needs more marketing, because i really think its a game with potential to be 1 million seller.
Posted by SEGA_Portuguese on February 23rd, 2012 at 3:30 pm
Best news possible!

For Dreamcast games, this is easily top-notch. Will be getting this day one, and my neighbors will just have to put up with Hideki Naganuma for the following week.
Posted by Yamishi on February 23rd, 2012 at 10:06 pm

ONLY PROBLEM:I don’t have 360 or ps3
Posted by JK on February 23rd, 2012 at 11:13 pm
SEGA, while I’m insanely happy about this, all i ask is you PLEASE have the original soundtrack. I want this pretty hardcore, but it can’t be considered JGR if the awesome music is gone.
Posted by Doox64 on February 24th, 2012 at 3:04 am
We want information!
-widescreen? (oh my god, put widescreen)
-Could we share graffiti created?
Tell us something! xD

Its great to show your real loyal fans you still care but what would be better is to Make dreamcast 2 and literally continue all the sega series.
Posted by sega sonic on February 24th, 2012 at 3:52 am
Fingers crossed it’s a decent port and not the same deal as Sonic Adventure with blue vertical borders :T
JSR was definately one of the most memorable games on the Dreamcast. I’m really hoping the port does it justice.
Posted by Pup on February 24th, 2012 at 10:53 am
Sega, hi, Im really looking forward to this and I hope nothing is omitted! if anything extra content should be included and online functions (hopefully). Btw would it be possible to put a “Dreamcast Classics” section on PSN? it saves people the hassle of having to track them down. Thanks!

Simply awesome. =)
Now, all that’s left is the Sonic Adventure 2 and NiGHTS port. =P
BTW: Don’t forget about Daytona USA 2. Those Model 3 games also deserve to come to next-gen consoles. Don’t let them die off.

I think Sega Company should try to enter the gaming hardware. and make a console in late 2012 or early 2013 the new system should have lots of games and online games can let you go on the internet let you talk to your friend and other player with no headset should play blueray and it should have a sepert table for 149.00 so players can sync there save games on the table and play everywhere and the tablet and should make a wireless controler the game console price should be 375.99 and you should sell 29.7 million systems in north america and 59.5 million in asian countries
Posted by jonathan on April 10th, 2012 at 1:03 am
You guys were so much better when you were making consoles! I really think people would turn away from other consoles to see you guys, return to the console wars please!
The release of the dreamcast was just to early, now is the time.
