The cell shading looks good even today, although I’m hoping some of the textures will be remade as well in higher resolutions. The characters and graffiti in particular would really benefit from actual HD textures, as we’ll be seeing those a lot in the game. I’m getting it regardless though, but given the attention this game is getting (I’m sure Sega noticed that the announcement of JSR HD got way more coverage than the release of Binary Domain did from the gaming media) I hope they give it the extra polish it needs.
eeeeeeeeeeeeYEAH-BOIIIIIIIII-YYYYYYYYY!!!! DJ-Professor-K, im ready for u to play some songs for meh! [thank you sooooo much SEGA. i love u for reasons, and u made a new one! thank u lovely ppl, thank u]
Rather disappointing that it’s JSR and not JSRF. Never really liked JSR as it was unnecessarily harsh with punitive time limits (until the cops come and spoil things) getting in the way of the fun. The graffiti was too fiddly as well.

I finally beat this game today on my SEGA DreamCast, and hands down is it amazing! Can’t wait until the HD release, me and my friend are both going to buy the game on PSN and enjoy it like crazy! =) (Yes, I know i’ll be owning this game for the second time, but in digital form, but hey, this game is seriously worth spending money on and I want SEGA to have my money).
This game and its sequel will eternally be THEE SHIZNIT. Now, with that out of the way, we need more aggressive inline games in this world. This recreational activity is so awesome and yet it’s only got a few games based on it.

Oh God, this game gave me a headache. Literally. Though it did form my mental image of Tokyo for a very long time, until I actually went. Why are they re-releasing this, I didn’t think it was that good?!
I hope to See SP5 Part 1, Sonic Adventure 2(Battle With Online Play), Sonic Shuffle(Four Player Online Coop, Crazy Taxi 2, and JSRF on XBLArcade, and Steam too !
i have this on my dreamcast and i hope they get a rid of the timer so that we can enjoy the game without racing against the clock because it takes the fun out of the game and i can’t get past the 2nd or 3rd level to this day !
YES!! I recently got a bundle of DC games and this one of my favorites!!! I tested them out with my friend who plays xbox I have to tell him about it. This game is just pure fun and as far as the music… DON’T QUESTION THE MUSIC!
Wait, hold on a second. Wasn’t this game called Jet GRIND Radio and not Jet SET Radio? Wasn’t Jet Set Radio the music you hear and the skates you roll on called Grinders hence Jet Grind Radio?
If SEGA were business-smart they would release it on PS Vita too as this game would look great on its screen But anyway, this is looking sweeeeet! @Zach: A quick google search would explain that to you
Was kinda hoping this would be a new entry to the series, but I’m glad I can play this on my 360 rather than having to haul out my Dreamcast every now and then.
What about ports of:
JSRF
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Heroes
Sonic Riders (only the first one, Zero Gravity is terrible)
Shadow the Hedgehog
Daytona USA CCE content/skin update for Daytona USA that came out a little while back?
Sonic 3D Blast with Genesis AND Saturn soundtrack options?
Clockwork Knight series?
Astal?
Actually, Jet Grind Radio was the NA title for the game when it got ported. The original title was actually called Jet Set Radio in Japan, and I prefer that title anyways. I’m happy they’re doing this though.
Great, fantastic, after a month or two of trying to impersonate Beat judging by what i’ve read I now know i’ll soon be able to actually find out what he was like through the games.

please sega commands don’t forget the “radio player” and “connect to the internet” features
digital downloads would be cool in order to experience the full ost of jsr

@Comment #6: The first was obviously better as it took more skill to beat, and had a higher emphasis on street culture when compared to JSRF.
Both are gems though.
