The cell shading looks good even today, although I’m hoping some of the textures will be remade as well in higher resolutions. The characters and graffiti in particular would really benefit from actual HD textures, as we’ll be seeing those a lot in the game. I’m getting it regardless though, but given the attention this game is getting (I’m sure Sega noticed that the announcement of JSR HD got way more coverage than the release of Binary Domain did from the gaming media) I hope they give it the extra polish it needs.

I finally beat this game today on my SEGA DreamCast, and hands down is it amazing! Can’t wait until the HD release, me and my friend are both going to buy the game on PSN and enjoy it like crazy! =) (Yes, I know i’ll be owning this game for the second time, but in digital form, but hey, this game is seriously worth spending money on and I want SEGA to have my money).

YES!! I recently got a bundle of DC games and this one of my favorites!!! I tested them out with my friend who plays xbox I have to tell him about it. This game is just pure fun and as far as the music… DON’T QUESTION THE MUSIC!

Actually, Jet Grind Radio was the NA title for the game when it got ported. The original title was actually called Jet Set Radio in Japan, and I prefer that title anyways. I’m happy they’re doing this though.

played it back on the DC. Played JSRF on the Xbox. Loved them both, wanted more…I ll be buying this in hopes of getting Sega to make a sequel.

@Comment #6: The first was obviously better as it took more skill to beat, and had a higher emphasis on street culture when compared to JSRF.

Both are gems though.
