Posted by Felipe Mota on March 13th, 2012 at 8:24 am
I still think this should have been one whole game but…YESSS TAILLSSS!!! me and my bro, just like the golden days
Posted by Seagull on March 13th, 2012 at 8:25 am

Holy hell those look intense. o.o
Posted by VizardJeffhog on March 13th, 2012 at 8:40 am
I would appreciate a new trailer for the gameplay and maybe not recorded from a tv with the camera
Posted by Gloria on March 13th, 2012 at 8:41 am
Yes, this NEEDS a Vita release, definitely! Android is cool, but I can’t be lugging around my 10″ tablet wherever I go, lol.
Posted by Brent on March 13th, 2012 at 8:43 am
Oh my God that’s awesome. Keep it up and make it unforgettable ! Cheers
Posted by Windy on March 13th, 2012 at 8:44 am
I hope this comes to the Wii U since it’s not coming to Wiiware.
Posted by SuperSherbet on March 13th, 2012 at 8:45 am
Nice. Hope this is coming to Steam as well as the consoles. I don’t have a console and don’t really want to wait two years for it to appear.
Posted by Saleck on March 13th, 2012 at 8:47 am
Looking good so far, color me excited!
Posted by Steven M on March 13th, 2012 at 8:47 am
Agreed with the above comment. Would LOVE to play this on Vita.
Posted by Firecrest on March 13th, 2012 at 8:48 am
Holy cow! The Egg SerpentLeaf looks even cooler than I expected! The Metal Sonic fight is gonna be better than in Generations, I’m sure of it! And speaking of Generations, I see one of Sonic Generations’ “Warning! You will NOT survive this fall!” Signs. LOL
Posted by Ryan on March 13th, 2012 at 8:49 am
Nice stuff…the recent eurogamer preview was pretty glowing. I am excited.
Posted by DJ Fob Fresh on March 13th, 2012 at 8:50 am
Get this on vita!
Posted by Deltatri3 on March 13th, 2012 at 8:51 am
Is Metal Sonic performing a homing attack?
Don’t know if i should be excited or let down.
On one hand, it means the battle will be different than CD or Generations.
On another hand.. He could’ve been given less overused moves. (Not to mention this makes Metal Sonic, oficially another Sonic clone moveset wise).
At least it looks like it’ll be a more challenging fight.
Posted by ecchi on March 13th, 2012 at 8:56 am
These are AWESOME! As another “Ryan” said in Comment #8, the Plant-like boss looks even more awesome than I’d imagined it. I LOVE how great the graphics are; they’ll make for an incredibly engaging gaming experience, to be sure.
And is that Metal Sonic I see in the first and third screen? Hallelujah! I know you’d already announced him, but he’s my second-favorite antagonist of the series (Dr. Robotnik aka Eggman being 1st), and my third-favorite character on the whole… more or less. That second one’s hard to choose, since honestly, I love most of the characters too much to maintain a choice.
Regardless, I’m feeling pumped for this. Keep it up, Sega!
Posted by Ryan Rodriguez on March 13th, 2012 at 9:02 am
Sylvania Castle Zone looks a lot like “Marble Garden Zone” from Sonic the Hedgehog 3!
Posted by James Truesdale on March 13th, 2012 at 9:06 am
Everything is gorgeous. Excellent work! I am very excited to play this!
Posted by Mobiethian on March 13th, 2012 at 9:09 am
Now that I look at the picture on a bigger screen. It looks like he-s slamming the ground, not performing a Homing Attack. This is double good news.
I-m glad he still has sparks around him too. Metal Sonic is about the only thing that excites me about this game.
I wouldn-t mind collecting every darn Red Ring twice to unlock him. Please SEGA.
Posted by ecchi on March 13th, 2012 at 9:14 am
PLEASE bring back the old running physics and get rid of this stupid power jump button and how if you jump then stop pressing a direction, sonic just stops mid-air.
Posted by Aaron on March 13th, 2012 at 9:25 am
The last 3 screens looks like Genocide City from Sonic 2. Genocide City wasnt in the final version of the game… That means maybe Hidden Palace are comingo too? for ep 3? Never say never
Posted by Yay on March 13th, 2012 at 9:29 am
@ Comment #8
They’ve already said it’s not coming out on the Wii =/
But this looks awesome! Can’t wait~
Posted by Pie on March 13th, 2012 at 10:31 am
@Seagull – Sorry to copy that mate, but that’s exactly what I’m feeling: “I still think this should have been one whole game but…YESSS TAILLSSS!!! me and my bro, just like the golden days”.
Posted by Rene on March 13th, 2012 at 10:39 am
Exicted about this one hopefully the chaos emrelds will be easy to collect!
Posted by Hkenney74 on March 13th, 2012 at 11:19 am
I get it! You beat the flower-bot by waiting until it opens up, and attacking Eggman!
Posted by Mesfin on March 13th, 2012 at 11:36 am
@Janna sorry but it aint comin to wii or wii u
Posted by narutoexpert on March 13th, 2012 at 11:45 am
Awesome work! Just give us a release date soon, and we’ll be set! :3
Posted by Wheeeeeeee..... on March 13th, 2012 at 11:55 am
Awesomeness! Looks like a Tail’s style boss fight from Sonic 3 is returning.
Posted by SAM31007 on March 13th, 2012 at 12:22 pm
This game is coming out in may
Posted by Katyla on March 13th, 2012 at 1:10 pm
mmmm yummmers! hurry up sega!
Posted by Allan on March 13th, 2012 at 1:25 pm
The game looks fantastic, but just one thing…could you please, for the love of God, release it on a Nintendo system (preferably the Wii U)?
Posted by barber747 on March 13th, 2012 at 1:29 pm
Screenshots look way too busy, I can barely find Sonic in some of them.
Parts of the thing look really shoddily copy-pasted. Look at the booster in the second screenshot, the perspective is completely wrong in comparison between it and the platform it’s on.
It also doesn’t show any of the gameplay, which we’ve had confirmed has all the same painful, crippling physics issues episode one had, just with more boosters and springs to cover it up.
A shame, too. DIMPS did so well with Generations for the 3DS.
Posted by Cleretic on March 13th, 2012 at 1:50 pm
Awesome…i wonder if this game is going to support the original 200 gamerscore or the new 400 gamerscore policy for xbox live arcade games..i know the acievements/trophies are posted on a website already but maybe they will add more to keep the game more interesting and more replayable
Posted by Bman1991 on March 13th, 2012 at 1:57 pm
Is this going to be on Wiiware soon? If not, what about Nintendo e’Shop (found on Nintendo 3DS)?
Posted by Steven Mallon on March 13th, 2012 at 2:30 pm
Yay! No stoopid camera movements when goin round a loop-de-loop
Posted by FlashX on March 13th, 2012 at 2:48 pm
@anybody who played sonic 4:ep 1 on wii ware, no wiiware version, it was confirmed when the game was officially announced
Posted by sonicplayer on March 13th, 2012 at 3:18 pm
please please please sega can you make it so that it is on the WII console i love sonic to bits and i aso think that the pictures look fantastic.
Posted by elizabeth berry on March 13th, 2012 at 3:19 pm
I love it, I was impressed with his big Eggman robot at night and those beautiful clouds, beautiful!
Posted by Maxi on March 13th, 2012 at 3:48 pm
@ Steven Mallon Yeah it would be nice if they put it in the Nintendo eshop since they won’t put it on Wiiware. Anyone know why it won’t be on Wiiware?
Posted by Super Sonic on March 13th, 2012 at 4:06 pm
This actually going to be good? Episode 1 was absolute garbage for a number of reasons, I think Sonic Retro did a good job pointing out everything wrong with it. My complaints with it were beyond screwed up physics, linear level design (seriously, only one path through?), and it lacking any identity of it’s own.
Posted by AFreakinProblem on March 13th, 2012 at 4:22 pm
I What TO See More Becuase It Looks So Good
Posted by Shawndell Rivers on March 13th, 2012 at 4:23 pm
Kinda resembles the Sonic Rivals series, which isn’t a problem in my book. I especially like the “cover art”.
Posted by SonikkuForever on March 13th, 2012 at 6:34 pm
HOLY CRAP!!! This game looks freaking epic, especially that stardust speedway redo and that giant robot flower boss. WHEN IS THIS GAME COMMING OUT?!
Posted by alan wright on March 13th, 2012 at 7:19 pm
Hey, that reused sign from Sonic Generations… That has me hopeful that the level design will be great. If there were bottomless pits everywhere, including those signs would just be silly looking.
THEREFORE, signs = fewer bottomless pits.
Posted by Linneus on March 13th, 2012 at 7:34 pm
Hey frnds I’m using android phone ….how can i download this game?
Posted by hemin on March 13th, 2012 at 8:41 pm
Though I am highly anticipating Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 2, I am highly disappointed since it will not be available on the Wii console. I hope that the possibility of this incredible game coming to the Wii U will not be only wishful thinking! Please, SEGA: make Sonic 4: Ep.2 available on the Wii U.
A Very Committed Sonic Fan

Looks excellent. This game will be fun to play.

There is never enough info right off the bat.
Now there are red rings, those were fun to collect. 4-1 had no real replayability unless you missed a chaos emerald, which is a shame.
Because of Nintendo.
Paths have to be the least of it’s problem. I mean, if the game actually flowed smoothly, it’d be something that would be “oh well, it’s a shame, but it’s all good.”
Other notes, eggserpent looks nice. Hopefully it would be a fight that doesn’t lead to, jump, homing x5, win. Difficulty please.

I’m the biggest fans of Sonic. Since I 5 years old until now, I still have my first sega video game at home. One Question, where I can get All Sonic Game PC. I just had Sonic & All Star Racing & Sonic Generation. Can you give me a a clue. Felix. BALI. Indonesia

I really like the subliminal 2 with the stone pillars in the background of the first picture!
Keep up the awesome work guys!
Posted by Naxal710 on March 14th, 2012 at 9:40 am
To all the people complaining that the game won’t be on Wii: just buy a dang Xbox already. They aren’t that expensive. Sheesh.
Posted by josh on March 14th, 2012 at 10:07 am
Y’know what would be awesome? …..I’m not talking about pancakes, but another gameplay trailer would be great!
Posted by Wheeeeeeee..... on March 14th, 2012 at 1:05 pm
It looks amazing and I’m really excited for this but god damn it Sega i want to play as my favourite character in the series in single play!!! Tails might as well be playable I mean it’s not like the levels would be un-playable as him!!!
Posted by Mazza on March 14th, 2012 at 2:33 pm
@Janna Sorry but its not comeing for Wii.

Posted by nintendEGA on March 19th, 2012 at 4:08 pm
I may still this game even if the physics still suck if Metal Sonic is unlockable.
Posted by Ben B. on March 20th, 2012 at 7:41 am
God, do I want this game.
Does anyone have the names of the stages, other than Sylvania Castle, and White Park?
Posted by Chai Chao on April 9th, 2012 at 6:07 pm
Still nothing on Guardian Heroes?!! Been waiting on that on the PSN for ages! Don’t wanna hear XBLA I didnt buy that for a reason. Sega losing sales on not bringing it to PSN as people wanna play it on this platform & the longer it takes the mores the interest in it is lost….So sad that Sega dont wanna see to their fans
Posted by KD on April 12th, 2012 at 2:27 am
@Ryan DUDE! REALLY!!! THE METAL SONIC FIGHT IN GENERATIONS WAS FREAKING POINTLESS!!!!!! ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS HIT HIM 3 TIMES AND YOU WIN!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE F**K?
