Jet Set Radio Final Tracklist Announced! The Jet Set Radio Soundtrack has been a much discussed feature of the upcoming Dreamcast re-release. The original game featured such a range of classic tracks, a range of unique and different tracks that matched the new cell shaded art style and fresh concept. So in bringing the game back to modern platforms, it was clear what we needed to do – bring the entire soundtrack back. We not only got the full Japanese soundtrack, not just the full European soundtrack, or even just the full North American soundtrack – no no – we got the worldwide soundtrack!
By Hideki Naganuma (SEGA) By Guitar Vader Also including such popular tracks as … Jet Set Radio is coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC Digital download this summer!

Ha ha ha, love how the USA soundtrack is a perfect snapshot of the nu-metal scene, circa Y2K. Thank you for keeping this intact, Sega!

Really great sound choices, but I would have loved to see “Yappie Feet”. What happened to that song SEGA? But it’s great they’re using ”Dunny Boy Williamson Show.” Was that song even used in the Dreamcast version?

Are you guys able to release JSRF in XBLA?
Posted by tenchibr on June 1st, 2012 at 10:33 am

@12: Basically, there’s only two songs missing. Yappie Feet by Deavid Soul & Many Styles by O.B. One (which was a PAL version only song). Otherwise, Sega got back every song.

@simon Not 100% complete – that is correct. But the soundtrack includes nearly all.
@Koto – Presently both Yappy Feet and Many Styles are the two songs not listed in the tracklist. Sorry, we re-negotiated all of the contracts (quite a feat btw) for all of the songs and these two didn’t make it. If this changes, we would be just as happy as you would, trust us – we’re all super excited to have this list.

@Clumsyorchid: Any particular reason all of Deavid Soul’s tracks were able to be licensed except Yappie Feet? Seems an odd omission.
Otherwise, this is awesome news.

People like Dragula and for a game built on nostalgia it’s important to get every original song that was featured. JSRF is a different game, so we’re staying as faithful to the original JSR release as we can.

I would also like to know why Yappie Feet was ommitted? As well as Many Styles by O.B.One , but I’ll be satisfied as it’s only a couple that are missing from what I can see. Good job! (Perhaps include the missing songs at a later date for a fee? I’d be willing to pay).

I’d sooner of had just the Japanese soundtrack to be frank. The American stuff was totally out of place with the visuals and made the US/EU edition of the game worse than the JP original, despite it’s extra levels.

Hopefully Yappie Feet and the accompanying crossfades (the most amazing part of JSR’s soundtrack imo) can get put in later as DLC. Still a great job of bringing the soundtrack back for the re-release.

It may not be the complete 100%, but I appreciate the fact that people over at Sega realized it was important to get -any- of the licensed music back, especially considering how different Crazy Taxi felt without hearing Offspring and taking people to Pizza Hut and Tower Records (and their insistence on using different voice actors but that’s another thing). So for me, kudos on taking those steps on getting the music back, and congrats on getting almost all of them back in the game.

I bought the JSR and JSRF soundtrack albums, and to see this effort go into making the soundtrack on the re-release as complete as possible is amazing. Looking forward to playing the game with songs from other regions that were never in it when I played on Dreamcast.

PLEASE keep trying to get Deavid Soul – Yappie Feet! Benten-cho = Yappie Feet for me! I don’t think I’m alone in saying that I wouldn’t mind pushing the release back in order to acquire this track and O.B.One – Many Styles.
I commend SEGA for securing the licenses for most of the world-wide OST but saying it was 100% really got my hopes up!
(If anything, please get Yappie Feet, though!)

I still play a little Jet Set Radio now and the. The first one was the best.
Glad most of the soundtrack stayed put.
Coulda sworn there was some MegaDeath in the original but I’ll have to look it up.
And by look it up I mean hook up my Dreamcast xD
The thing that has me wondering the most though is if tag importing will stay somehow.
I used to love using the builit in web browser and download images into the game.
I’d make my own tags in photoshop and import them into the game to play with.
I’m hoping that the PC version at the least will have a way to import tags. :3
Xbox version would have some troubles, but I can see it working on PS3 and Vita.
Just a simple pick an image off a flash drive really.

When I originally heard the soundtrack was going to be butchered to almost half, I honestly wouldn’t have bought it cause a lot of the charm from this game came from it’s amazing soundtrack. Now that it’s intact with ALL the worldwide tracks, this is an instant must buy for me and for anyone else who hasn’t played this classic. Great job, Sega!

Just read that “Yappie Feet” and “Many Styles” tracks aren’t in this release, so it won’t be a COMPLETE collection after all. Well, I’ll cross my fingers that before the game ships, they can at least get “Yappie Feet” in there of the two (preferably both
). Please Sega, get the license for that song in the game!
