#SegaE3 A Virtual Tour of SEGA’s E3 BoothE3 is here! The show is now officially open, which means we can give you your first glimpse of what our booth looks like this year. Let’s start at the reception desk. This is the nerve center of the booth. It’s here that people come to check in for appointments, to ask questions about SEGA and our games, and to see people in our booth. It’s also where the giveaway items will be (we have the SEGA magnets and candy we had at PAX East, along with some new buttons for Hell Yeah! and some sweet Jet Set Radio lanyards), and where I’ll spend most of the show on my laptop, looking after the blogs and social media. From here, go to the left and you’ll see Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown. We’ve got 6 stations, each equipped with fighting sticks. On the opposite side of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is the Hell Yeah! lounge. Camille from Arkedo will be here to help show off this fantastic game. Eagle-eyed fans may note that this space looks familiar, and you’d be right — this space was used to show off Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II at PAX East. Next to the Hell Yeah! lounge is what we’ve dubbed “The Cave cave” which may not be terribly original, but it is fairly accurate. This is an enclosed space, giving people coming to see the demo a fitting environment. Ron Gilbert will be here to show off the game throughout the show. Next up is our multiplayer setup for Aliens: Colonial Marines. This is the first time we’ve shown the game in an open environment, where people can walk by and get a glimpse of the action — previously, it was only shown in an enclosed theatre. We’re super excited to have the original Alien Queen prop from the movies in our booth. This is a beautiful piece of cinematic history that we hope everyone in our booth will enjoy. The power loader is back! This was a huge hit at PAX East, so we brought it back. Attendees can get their photo taken in the power loader, thanks to our on-site photo booths. We’ve also got this car in our booth. Wonder what that’s about? In the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed section, we’ve got some awesome swivel chairs so attendees can play the game in style. We also have a 16 foot Sonic in our booth! Next is our video wall. It’s huge, and our trailers look amazing on it. We’re showing Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz on Vita. Finally, we’re showing Jet Set Radio on Vita as well. That’s it for our booth! We’re going to have lots more coverage of E3 in the coming days. Stay tuned! | ||

I agree with NVR, can we please get some info on PSO2? Fans desperately want to know if the game will be released outside of Japan. It certainly seems unlikely, given the seeming lack of presence at E3.

No Anarchy Reigns, huh? Can you tell us anything about whether or not you’re going to release the game?

I loved Sega’s games since 1985, but the company is not what it once was. The merger with Sammy was necessary for their survival, but they do not take risks anymore. It’s all about Sonic. Sega should go back to their roots and revive Alex Kidd and invest in Shenmue.

ANARCHY REIGNS, PLEASE. The game is finished and fully translated – why you’re not pushing it is completely beyond me.

The absence of Anarchy Reigns lowered my overall impressions of E3 2012. Please, Sega. Set a release date and provide a proper a demo for the NA/EU PSN store and XBOX Live Arcade.

True, this isn’t the Sega we once knew and loved. Consoles made them stay innovative. Hell Yeah is just a glimpse of what Sega once was. As a third party, they have to do shovelware sometimes, like Binary Domain. What I don’t like…DON’T LIKE I SAY… is when Sega refuses to take advantage of a massive amount of IP’s at their disposal. We need more Saturn and Dreamcast games on XBLA! Yeah, yeah, no longer have the code for stuff like Panzer Dragoon Saga…heard that before.

Ffs, just announce PSO2 already, even if you have to go behind Sega Japan’s back. It’s the series 10th Anniversary (and that’s only counting the Online series) and your leaving the west completely in the dark. At this point it feels like you’re not even planning on letting us celebrate it at all. What was said above is true. You have all these great IPs and oodles of chances to make up for your loss in sales, and yet you don’t take it. If you’re so worried about distribution costs then just go digital. Hell, it’s not even a concern with PSO2. I get that the game is still in Beta (I’m a part of the beta, after all), but you have no good reason to leave us so inexplicably in the dark like this. I know long-time fans of the series who knew absolutely nothing about this game, or even that it existed, simply because the only source of news regarding it comes from Japan. You should probably lay off your advertising department because that’s just pathetic.

Ok if a small company like Adhesive Games can show off their F2P game at E3 why isn’t Sega showing off PSO2 at E3
