In our last batch of videos, we showed off some techniques to help get you into Virtua Fighter 5 and hold your own in any online match. Today we are featuring three new videos featuring tips and tricks focused on individual characters. We’ve created these videos to appeal to both the beginner and the intermediate player – we hope you enjoy them!

Jean Kujo & Taka Arashi

The first video features information on the two new characters in Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown:

“Another great Jean move is his rolling kick performed with back forward kick plus guard. It is long range, safe on guard and causes stagger on normal hit. If your opponent is unable to shake of this heavy stagger, you can get foward punch, punch kick as a free combo. Eventually players will learn to shake out of this and guard your combo. Use this opportunity to throw your opponent or any other strategies you have learned in the previous section.”

Jacky & Sarah Bryant

The next video features tips for the siblings, Jacky and Sarah Bryant.

One of Sarah’s main advantages over her opponents is her flamingo stance. The Flamingo is a tricky stance that leaves Sarah at an advantage even if the opponent blocks her attacks. This breaks the normal rules of Virtua Fighter and can completely destroy an opponent who is unfamiliar with her flamingo moves.

Lau & Pai Chan

In this video, we discuss father and daughter with Lau and Pai Chan:

Much of Pai’s game is based on her elbow-class move, which looks like a quick chop, and can be performed by simply pressing forward and punch. Although this isn’t the only elbow class attack in the game that can reach an opponent from a moderate distance, it is one of the only ones that will leave you out of the opponents low punch range after you land the hit.
