So PS3 and PS Vita users will need to buy seperate versions for each console? Will there be at least a discount if you buy both?

There best be a whole SLEW of Dreamcast/Saturn games being ported to the Wii U!!!
But yes this is very good news for the other system owners.

Good Price Sega. Thanks for locking that in. Any sort of deal for those who own a PS3 and a Vita? I know, I know: The notion that gamers and consumers always want more more more, never satiated. But, I love cross-compatibility with my PS3 and Vita. I’m gonna’ likely buy the game twice anyway (Steam and PS3), hook a brotha’ up with that Sony Cross-Compatibility.

Nice to finally have a release date on this. Will there be some kind of “buy it one time on Playstation 3 or Playstation Vita, get it on both” kind of deal like other PSN games?

That is cool ! Thank You ! Now how about making a new Jet Set Radio Future game or a new Jet Set Radio game for the Jet Set Radio series ? Your the only one who has the say on the Jet Set Radio series. Noone else can make one unless you let them.Only you SEGA are allowed to do that.So how about making a new one for all your fans who love the Jet Set Radio series ? Or get someone else to make it ? I’m willing to make one if you let me. Thanks for understanding your fans.

Ten bucks for a game that is over 15 years old, not a chance! The game should cost no more than five bucks at most!
You could buy a used copy on eBay for less than ten bucks!

Yep, better get that countdown clock ready for one of my favorite Dreamcast games.
I don’t like the Steamworks DRM, though, but if you guys did an awesome Sonic 4 Episode I-style “Buy more versions of the game” where you feature the people who bought the PC and Xbox 360 version of this game, I might change my mind.

Way to be f***ing grateful for a game that would cost you more than twice that much on Amazon or Ebay on a console that may or may not work in this day and age.
How about being grateful you prick?

€ incoming – just making extra extra sure we have the final costs.
@David Hammond – you can buy the original game and play it on Dreamcast, but the new version comes with all the good stuff you’ve come to expect on modern platforms, such as HD resolutions, achievements or trophies, dual analog support (!). If not for you, that’s ok, we think the price is pretty sweet for what you are getting.
@bz – PS3 and Vita games are separate versions.

HELL YES! I have been checking the blog and game news websites since the day the re-release was revealed, anxious to hear about a release date. So glad to hear it’s finally happening! Thank you Sega, for helping me return to my fondest video game memories. I can’t wait.
Also, I’ll be buying multiple copies of this, in hope it urges you to also re-release JSRF! These games were so unfortunately overlooked back in their day, hopefully they’ll get the attention they deserve this time around.

So the game is coming out in September. Is there any update on Yappie Feet or Many Styles? On the official site, it seems one of the two was finally licensed, which song was it? Is it too late to try to get the other song, since the soundtrack is so close to being 100% complete?

800 MP/ 9.99 not a great price, you can buy it for Dreamcast at the same price RETAIL and NEW on ebay.
Digital delivery should be cheaper, especially for old games.

@ Wizard: you can buy the original game and play it on Dreamcast, but the new version comes with all the good stuff you’ve come to expect on modern platforms, such as HD resolutions, achievements or trophies, dual analog support (!) – the Vita version has new features like importing tags via the camera, and touch screen controls.
The soundtrack is a combined US/UK/JP version that is probably closer to De La Jet Set Radio, a game that on ebay is actually at ~$150 to ~$200. Yep, totally is:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/De-La-Jet-Set-Radio-/110799069832?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item19cc23a288
I have very fond memories of playing Jet Set Radio when it released over 10 years ago. But to be perfectly honest – you get a better version with this game and at $9.99, that’s a steal.

Part of me feels somewhat disappointed that it’s not a summer release, but I’m betting the additions to this version will make it worth the wait. Speaking of which, I don’t suppose the music tracklist has seen any changes since?

$10 is a great price. Come on people, it’s HD, with better sound and in the case of the PS Vita, even portable. Try looking for/hooking up/playing on your Dreamcast nowadays. You may remember it fondly but the graphics will be awful on a 40″ display. I just tried that with Soul Calibur. The memories were better than the actual thing.
That said, I also hope for a “combo pack” with the PS3+Vita versions. Just ’cause.

What with this, Nights, and Sonic Adventure 2 coming up, I think we’ll be in for a good old time! Hope to see that ahead-of-its-time Shenmue series get the same treatment some time!

It’s outrageous that PS3 gamers only get 9 trophies yet 360 gamers get 30 achievements.
Where is the logic in that? Are PS3 gamers not worthy enough?
Please patch in the other 21 trophies – we pay the same so we should get the same.
