Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed European Limited Edtion AnnouncedWe recently told you about the Bonus Edition of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for North America, and today we’re pleased to tell you more about the Limited Edition of the game that will be available in Europe! The Limited Edition of the thrilling new racing experience from SEGA will contain a brand new track and character plus various collectable items and will be available as pre-order whilst stocks last. The exclusive OutRun Bay track contains all the standard race modes found in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, plus challenges and time trials specific to the track. This time though, the whole race is transformed as you get to speed across the gorgeous shimmering blue ocean as well as the roads in a spectacular level inspired by SEGA’s classic arcade racer OutRun. Sonic the Hedgehog’s popular rival Metal Sonic explodes on to the tracks in the exclusive Metal Sonic Mod Pack in the Limited Edition of the game, this prototype levitation vehicle was crafted purely to race – and race it must! In addition to the track and character, an Emoticon Sticker Pack can also be found in the Limited Edition. These collectables are found throughout the game and are given as rewards for skilful play, high scores and more. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Limited Edition will speed on to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita on 16th November 2012 in Europe.

So the only difference between the bonus edition and the limited edition is the emoticon sticker pack? seriously Sega? wow what a way to let us all down. I was expecting a “real” limited edition bundle!

well, it’s good to know that both North America, and the European bonus, and limited editions are going to contain the same stuff, instead of one containing more than the other

Again, Why couldn’t the new character be Silver The Hedgehog?!

SEGA, It’s called DLC. You better use it. Especially for Silver being playable in the game.

I wanted this game on pc. When you release a game in DVD, I can add to my collection… But digital download isn’t as nice as feeling that you really bought it.

So does this mean Europe gets more bonuses than America gets?

OK, seriously, SEGA? You didn’t give us the collector’s version of Generations, and now you’re holding out on us again? For cryin’ out loud, Metal Sonic was DLC in the first. Why in the hell would you not include him on-disc in the sequel???

I’m buying the Bonus Edition Day 1, but I don’t really see anything exciting about this for some reason. I mean, it sounds like just 1 extra track and some stickers…

Where can I order the limited edition from? Amazon doesn’t seem to stock it yet.
Also will the 360 version be using the standard casing or the metal casing? (I’d rather it was just standard so it fits on my shelf).

Pre-order bonus DLC is just a tax on anyone smart enough to wait for the game to come out and hear about how good it really is. It is just as bad as day one DLC and disc-locked content.
How about I just forget about buying this game at all?

Look at all the immature comments… How many people practically rating the game as rubbish as soon as it is announced? More than likely to be people trying to make Sega and Sonic look bad just because the opportunity to comment is there. Sega and Sonic team have put a lot of thought and hard work into All-stars racing transformed and I am really looking forward to its release in the U.K. It is sad to think that the minority always spoilt it for the majority. Drive by the U.K. soon to show off your awesome new car Sonic, and bring all of your friends! We will see you then! 😀

It would seem SEGA is also assisting in the Wii U having a failure launch…
With the few games releasing, this could have been a great title. But if there is no limited edition for the Wii U, we can only assume the console will be unable to provide DLC. And if it can, this means DLC features won’t be added to the Wii U until off in the future…
At least SEGA is good for revealing the faults in the consoles Nintendo releases.
Unless a worker from the SEGA company comes on and tells us otherwise, I call them out for revealing Wii U doesn’t support DLC at launch…
A pity… Such wonderful graphics, but poor in other fields current gens have mastered.

It is also on the 3DS. SASRT is a fun game!
But I wish Sega would bring Guardian Heroes to PS3’s PSN. How long will the 360 get Guardian Heroes exclusively?
