Phantasy Star Online 2 at PAX
As you may have heard, Phantasy Star Online 2 will be at the Penny Arcade Expo next week – for fans of the game, we know you’re eager to hear more, so let’s cut to the chase! Here’s what’s going on with Phantasy Star Online 2 at PAX: Playable PSO2 Demo + Character CreatorJoin other PSO2 fans and battle your way through part of the game, customized for PAX! Explore, battle through random events, work together with your ad-hoc PAX crew, and experience a boss fight! We will also have the character creator on-hand – and we are looking forward to seeing what sort of fabulous creations you make at the show. The game’s powerful character creation tool is truly one of its more delightful aspects, and I have no doubts that the imaginarium of the Penny Arcade Expo’s hallowed halls will inspire you to wonderful creative heights. Please note the character creator and playable demo will be set up separately, so you can get in line for either if you’re attending.
PSO2: Rare LootFor everyone who comes by the SEGA booth and plays the demo (or tries the character creator), we have an exclusive Phantasy Star Online 2 mousepad giveaway, featuring art from the game! We have already sent the loot to Seattle in shiny, shiny red boxes, so we’ll post images when we’re there, but just imagine this image, only on a mousepad:

I have that mousepad from Tokyo Game Show 2011 ;P
I use it at work and it’s pretty dope! PSO2 is also pretty dope, come on over to the JP servers while waiting for the western release!

I’m a die hard PSO fan and have been playing the japanese version since launch. I would love to get one of those mousepads, and will also pay for it. e-mail me if you want to sell me one.

Hey Sega guys, you should reaaaaally consider putting shared servers internationally..
I mean, many beta testers have already spent a lot of time there.
Also there is a “Language” setting in the beta, could it possibly be the hope for it to be the same servers same launcher same everything and only change language in the settings?
It would be the choice that would make most sense for everyone in the world actually, come on sega step it up, do it for the fans.

To Solon001 (#17) you do realize there’s a micro transaction platform in every F2P game right? Which does not exist in Infinity. And X (#14) the whole point of PSP2 (including Infinity) was to test new things and fix downsides of PSU, I’m surprised there was an english PSP2 at all, And as PSO2 is the result of those tests, I’m pretty excited about it. PSO was quite a revolution and it’s sad the Dreamcast didn’t stick, but PSO legacy remained and inspired series like dot hack (who later inspired SAO) and I’m sure this one will also leave a mark in history. I’m also quite happy there will be an english version of PSO2, although I don’t think we will have TTS will we? Well, anyhow, just tell us when we will be able to play it SEGA-san!

The date is still “early 2013″ even though it’s already early 2013 and no specific date set yet
C’mon Sega! Bring it to EU/NA already!!! >.<
Or do one, big international sets of servers (same client for everyone) with language choice!

Well its Feb already, times running out for them to meet there “frist quarter” mark and still no news. Would be nice to hear somthing from them, but then again they must be to “busy” to give us anyword as to what’s going on… *sadface*
