Yeah, if it doesn’t have the original soundtrack its a no-buy. I’m not sure if SEGA realizes how important the soundtrack is to Crazy Taxi.
Also amidst the others hoping for an android release.

The PS2 version had the The Offspring on it!
I ported the soundtrack from the Dreamcast version to the PC original Empire/Strangelite port (and the Dreamcast Collection version but it didn’t work as well).

I’d be more forgiving about it having/not having the original soundtrack IF IT CAME OUT ON ANDROID TOO.
This is something I’d buy (it’d be the 4th time, for the record).

If you do manage to get everything licensed, patching the PS3 version with the original soundtrack and advertisements would be greatly appreciated.

You mean the PSN/XBox Live soundtrack, right? I have the PS2 version and it has Offspring and Bad Religion just like the Dreamcast and arcade version. (Okay, aside from removing the F-bomb from the Offspring song “Way Down the Line” on the PS2; did Offspring record a radio-friendly version of that?)

Dear Sega,
I know that you have a lot of people asking this same question. But will this title (Crazy Taxi) along with Jet Set Radio be released on the Android OS this year? If so I would love to know when?
Thanks,
-?-

This could be the worst port in the world and I would still buy since I love Crazy Taxi! If it wasn’t for Crazy Taxi, I would have never bought my first Dreamcast in 2012. Thanks Sega!

@Wes (and others) – Good news, this is on the way to Android!
@JS Mixin – Dreamcast on the iPod touch — it is indeed the future.

Sega,
How about a Crazy Taxi 4 or prequel, in the future, and have it released on an actual disk? Crazy Taxi (2000) on the Dreamcast is still one of my main favorites. I just wish the limits were a little broader like Shenmue. For example: when you drive in the ocean there’s a barrier. Also, depending on the pseudo geographic location, it would be nice to take a freeway to get to your destination faster and while driving at night.
Some of the key things I love about the original are: the soundtrack, real business locations, crazy driving and the nostalgia! The announcer is cool too…

There’s less iPhones around but more of them actually pay for their games so IOS always gets it first, and us “Innocent” Android users have to suffer and wait.

i won’t switch to ios at all again after getting a nexus 10 and a note 2! i know very well that you will get more than 1 million download fastly on android as this game is a must for every user !! stop being an ios fan! i know that apple is paying to every important developer for that thing because they are losing the competiton! but you are the only one to help them! sega make your game fastly for android!!
