ToeJam & Earl Bring the Funk(otron) Back to PSN and XBLA this NovemberWe’re excited to announce that the alien duo ToeJam and Earl will be returning to consoles next month, thanks to the SEGA Vintage Collection series. Genesis classics ToeJam & Earl and ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron will be available to purchase separately on PlayStation Network starting November 6 for $4.99 each, and will be available packaged together as the SEGA Vintage Collection: ToeJam & Earl for 800 MSP starting November 7 on Xbox LIVE Arcade. In the original ToeJam & Earl, players have to help the alien duo explore the craziest planet they’ve ever visited: Earth! After a rough crash landing, pieces of their spaceship have been scattered across a giant, constantly-changing landscape. Help them avoid hazards and collect all the pieces so they can get home to planet Funkotron. Genesis sequel ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, meanwhile, has our alien heroes return safely to their home planet only to discover that their ship had stowaways! Funkotron is now infested with wild Earthlings who need to be put into jars and shipped back home. Both titles have been updated with support for achievements and trophies, as well as full online co-op support.

Great news! So does this mean we can expect to see ToeJam & Earl as playable characters in future SEGA All Stars games?

That’s great and I like your digital initiative. However, there are several Genesis games already available for the iPhone and on Steam which should be released for XBLA and PSN, especially since these are rather uncommon. These would make some great collections:
Sega Vintage Collection: Arcade
Space Harrier II
Wonderboy III: Monster Lair
Galaxy Force II
Sega Vintage Collection: Action
Alien Soldier
Shinobi III
Eternal Champions
Sega Vintage Collection: RPG
Landstalker
Sword of Vermillion
Light Crusader
Sega Vintage Collection: Shooting
Crack Down
Bio Hazard Battle
Super Thunder Blade
Sega Vintage Collection: Kids
Columns
Columns III
Ecco Jr.

Please bring Landstalker, Alien Soldier and other games on PC/iOS/Wii/etc but not on the UGC to PSN! By the way, I’d love some more Master System classics — where the heck was Wonder Boy III: Dragon’s Trap in the WB-themed vintage collection? That’s the best of all of them — or it’s at least as good as MWIV.

This is great news, by the way – I love Panic on Funkotron and will definitely be buying on PSN. I should have put that in my original comment…

Sounds good. I have to second the call for more Saturn classics. Also, how about some more SEGA arcade titles?
After Burner and SEGA Rally left such a good taste in my mouth that I would love some SEGA arcade titles.
Can’t wait to see what you guys do on Wii-U!
