SEGA Announces Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Tournament
Today we are happy to announce the Sega Cup: Virtua Fighter Tournament 2013! The tournament, in partnership with Level Up, will take place in Los Angeles at the Super Arcade on April 20, 2013. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 16 players. The version for the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system will be used for the competition. Based on the latest arcade version of the celebrated Virtua Fighter 5 series, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown launched in June 2012 for PlayStation Network (PSN) and for Xbox LIVE Arcade (XBLA). It was a critical and commercial success and maintained the Virtua Fighter 5 series’ reputation of being the “fighting game fan’s fighter.” Sega Cup: Virtua Fighter Tournament 2013 will be an annual competition and will be open to all Virtua Fighter fans. To assist fans in training for the event, SEGA will launch the official Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Guide on the App Store today. It is available for $0.99, pick it up today! Sounds really great for those who can go. Too bad I’m no where near L.A. What I wish though is VF5FS and VF2 on Steam.
