Hello Virtua Fighter community!  My name is Justin Wong, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be one of the most successful fighting game players in North America.  I’ve won many EVOs in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and have finished in the top 8 in Capcom vs. SNK2, Street Fighter III: 3^rd Strike, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Tekken 5, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Street Fighter 4.  I do not have a lot of experience with 3D fighters aside from some light involvement with the Tekken franchise, but I’m excited for the challenge of learning Virtua Fighter.

I started playing Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown last week and can honestly say it has been a lot of fun so far.  I’m still learning about the game but here is a stream of me practicing with some friends. To prepare for the Sega Cup on April 20^th I will also be training with some SoCal VF players from time to time and playing online matches with players from across the country.  As you can see, I decided to start playing as Jacky. I like his fighting style and was told he is a good character to start with, but I also like that he is strong enough to compete at the highest levels. I have seen top players like Denkai use him successfully so it seemed like a strategic choice for me.

While I don’t expect to win the Sega Cup, I’m excited at the challenge and I hope that by doing my best I can show you guys that I am committed to being accepted in your community.
