Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse Gets Release Date, Price, and Pre-Order Special
We’re excited to announce that Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse will be available worldwide for digital download on September 3, 2013 for PlayStation Network, on September 4th for Xbox LIVE Arcade, and for PC digital download as a cost of $14.99USD/£ 9.99/€14.99/1200 Microsoft Points.
For a limited time only, customers in North America who pre-order Castle of Illusion on PlayStation Network from August 20th to September 2nd will receive the original Genesis version of game, one pre-order exclusive dynamic theme, and three avatars. Customers will be able to download the original game immediately after pre-ordering.
With all-new HD graphics and gameplay, Castle of Illusion brings Mickey and his magical world to life. When the evil witch Mizrabel kidnaps Minnie, it’s up to Mickey to brave the dangers of the Castle of Illusion to rescue Minnie. Gather your courage and take on hordes of rebellious toys, traverse enchanted forests and navigate mazes of living books.

Preorder incentives for digital download purchases DON’T MAKE SENSE!
It simply makes things more intransparent than it needs to be. When I buy a game I want to be able to play it immediately, so I’m not prepurchasing games – especially downloadable ones. I want to be able to get the best version of a game the day I buy it – which is the day I play it. The Prepurchase download only devalues the original package in my opinion – and makes me want to hold out for a steam-sale already.

Please tell me the Megadrive/Genesis version of Castle of Illusion isn’t exclusive to PS3, that would seriously suck.
I would love to have the old version on PC, since my Megadrive is no longer working.

I am from the EU so because of that you are alienating me? Well screw that. I was going to pick this title up since I love the Original Game on the Mega Drive. Yes the Mega Drive the REAL Name of the classic system.
But now I am not, I am taking my money else where.

i would love to get a physical copy of castle of illusion for the xbox 360 for my grandson who thinks he is actually playing it on you tube…it is hysterical he is four years old so far I see it is just a download which I have a hard time understanding at my age lol
