When will I finally have a means of re-watching those amazing cut scenes? It is a complete shame that they can only be viewed once since they’re probably the best part of the game.

If you release another update, would you consider adding a Sound Test and a Cutscene Viewer? Also I did experience the glitch in the Casino Level outside the pinball areas (had to do with one of the giant springs), hope that was fixed.
But awesome update none the less! 😀

No cutscene viewer?
Thank you so much for the update anyway; it’s nice to see a game getting post-release support.

Some of these should have never been issues to begin with… I really wish the 3DS version could be patched to remove the motion controls too, they are pretty annoying in that especially as it breaks the 3D view.
The homing attack is still going to be fundamentally broken though. They should not have added the multiple lock-on to begin with.
In any event, I am happy and somewhat shocked Sonic Team is patching their game. Too many times they just ditch their games way too fast. I still cannot believe they never realized how big of an audience wanted DLC for Sonic Generations.

Wait. Hang on. This used to be a Sonic game where a hundred rings DIDN’T get you an extra life?

I would appreciate Pro Controller support for single player as the analog sticks and triggers work with the color powers now.

That’s awesome, SEGA! Keep going. I love to play Lost World and I would just want to say, playable Super Sonic in auto-running sections and final boss would be a great enhacement to the game.

Better late than never, but it’s not enough to salvage this trainwreck. Maybe if you could patch the parkour so that it actually works like it does in the 3DS version. But then again, Sonic Team’s spectacularly lackluster level design would still suffer from a profound lack of focus. They should just give the series to Dimps, or at least stop forcing Dimps to incorporate horrendously bad ideas like the multi-lock homing attack into their games. As far as I’m concerned, Lost World is even worse than Shadow the Hedgehog or Sonic 06; the control scheme is a betrayal of everything the original Sonic games stood for, and one of the most awkward and cumbersome ever devised. I’m praying the third Nintendo exclusive Sonic game will be developed by the big N.

I’m really glad to see that feedback is being acted on! I have really been enjoying Lost World, although some of these issues were a bit annoying (but certainly not to the degree most people complained about!). Regardless, thank you for fixing these issues!
Whoohoo go Sonic and Sega!

Now, this is a major problem that has been noticeable in certain copies that were picked up by my crew in the past few weeks:
Even with all of the television’s Audio Settings maxed out, the voice acting will not play in any of the cutscenes, but the music will.
Has this already been dealt with, or is it still an ongoing factor that hasn’t been touched upon yet?
Although nice for us to make good use of in voice acting sessions, some gamers might not be happy about them not being able hear the character voice audio in the cutscenes.

Good step in the right direction guys =)
if you do release another patch , can you please allow options for switching controllers? (game pad, wii controller/nun chuck and pro controller)
this was a great option to have in both Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colours and i feel that while the game pad worked, it would have been nice to have the option to switch to a pro controller.
thanks Sega! keep up the good work! looking forward to Sonic Boom!

Really glad to see that they added the feature for getting an extra life when you get 100 rings. I just got a Wii U recently, and while I’ve been enjoying the game for the most part, I felt like rings were virtually useless in this game, since there were so many of them but they served no purpose beyond making it so Sonic survives for longer (which can be accomplished with only one ring).
Glad to see that the game’s still being updated, and I hope that this support continues in the future!

Can you guys please add Pro Controller support to the single player mode? Pretty much all of Nintendo’s first party games support it nowadays. Why shouldn’t this game?

Just tried the update and seems to work as described. I was freaked out initially, however, because I experienced a horizontal “V-Sync” like tear throughout the entire game once I got to the map screen. Once I saw the behavior persisted to the Wii U menu, I simply power cycled the system and the issue went away.
It may be a good idea, due to the clunky update process on the Wii U, to mention with the updates the version value you should expect on the title screen when posting here and on Facebook. This update is version 3.0.0
And I agree, please add Wii U Pro Controller support. I want to play the game longer, but my hands tire of holding the Wii U Gamepad that isn’t adding much value to most of the gameplay–especially after this update.

You need to set your WiiU to Stereo as surround to your tv will only output the left/right audio track. The voice dialogue is coming from the centre channel which your tv won’t be able to decode via hdmi.

And I like the motion controls in special stages in the 3DS version. They were made with motion controls in mind, so I don’t think they would be fun without it.

Thank you for this update Sega! 100 rings = 1up is classic and really needed! also 10 lives on restart from 5 is great as well!!
The game is really cool. There is a lot of awesome HD beauty in the graphics, polygons, textures, could you in the future add a patch for full camera control xyz zoom/pan as close as I want to place the camera to sonic? It would help me enjoy the speed and world more!
I also could not hear voice acting in the cut scenes….. just music. I could hear the voice through the gamepad, but the voices aren’t coming through the main speakers…… hope you can address that. if you do, could you throw in the option for japanese voices also? Thanks
When i played the 3DS version, as i got both, I could hear the voices just fine. = )

Thank you for listening to the feedback. Honestly, I don’t even understand why getting 100 rings did not grant an extra life before. Sonic and Mario are the only platformers remaining that can have lives, because it’s tradition. Before this, there was no point in having more than 1 ring.

Nice to see that SEGA is listening to the fans. Still, here are some good ideas that you can use in another patch:
1. Rhythm used with analog stick
2. Pro controller support
3. A notification that tells players that they can use buttons with the Wisps. (It currently just has the motion control instructions. How are new players supposed to know they can use buttons?)
4. Cutscene viewer (Please, SEGA!)
5. Sound test
This is still a good update, but adding more (what I mentioned above) would be nice. Still, I enjoyed the update. Thanks SEGA!

A similar update for the 3ds would be nice. Perhaps the OPTION to use gyro controls, black bomb, new paths in some stages (I’d pay a nice chunk of change for more of them), and perhaps more online stages?

Oh wow! Nice fixes, because these were a good handful of what made me dislike the game. (especially the 100 rings = 1-up. It made collecting rings worthless.) All that’s left to fix; I believe, is the lack of momentum when airborne (give us an air dash/speed up in the air/ anything that’ll prevent us from falling right down on a hazard after using a homing attack or double jump.), the ability to run through item boxes instead of wasting time to stop and hit them with a cancelled spindash, and then a quick rail jump feature would make the grind rail sections a little less stressful. ^_^

in response to comment #s 7, 19, 30 ,34 & 41. I agree that there should be a patch for the 3DS version for the gyro motion controls, but there is a problem. The special stages would be way too easy to complete and it would break comment # 31’s heart as he must be the only one who actually enjoys the special stage in this game.

Oh, wow, these are great updates! Thanks so much! I spent about 15 minutes the other day trying to collect rings to get extra lives before I realized it wasn’t a feature.
To echo what others have said, some future updates I think would be great are Pro Controller support and being able to turn off the ‘skip to next checkpoint’ items that show up. On one of the lava levels it shows up in a place where I can’t jump over/around it, thus forcing me to skip a portion of the level.
But regardless, the game is excellent, thanks for implementing the updates!

+ Remove the capped speed, make jumping higher for Super Sonic, like Sonic 3 & Knuckles, he’s very slow on 2D
+ Super Sonic on Mach Speed section
+ Tweaked ice physics

Great update guys! I’m especially glad I got that before encountering the flashing-light-of-doom in Frozen Factory lol Also thanks for the life at 100 rings, it adds to nostalgia and it helps a lot while trying to stay alive (because that game is brutal, and you know that. Not a bad thing, just a fact)
Like many others said : PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a Movie Theater! I’m really sad not being able to experiment everything again without erasing my whole savefile or searching for Youtube videos. Sound Test and Sound options altogether would be great as well

– Online Multiplayer
– Cutscene Viewer
– Remove 10,000 points to replay DLC stages. (Especially the NiGHTMARE DLC Stage)

WE ALL NEED PRO CONTROLLER SUPPORT WHY MUST WE HOLD THIS BIG BULKY GAMEPAD WHEN WE ARE PLAYING ON THE TV ANYWAY THAT IS WHAT THE CONTROLLER IS FOR!! And another nice feature would be to have the game be playable entirely on the gamepad as well just like new super mario bros u, if my parents are watching cable tv i could play on the gamepad why not all games should be like that its got the same controls as the pro controller and a screen like why the hell not

Love the update, I would love pro controller support in the next update. Of course this would be challenging with the rhythm whisp being touch based, but if you made the rhythm whisp move automatically and the player had to press the “A” button to the rhythm of the whip’s music the whisp could be far more entertaining to play with. If possible, can you also speed up the running speed a little? I understand the emphasis on platforming, but Sonic is still about speed and the running speed needs to be tweaked just a bit. The turning could also use a bit of tweaking. I love this new style of gameplay and wish for it to return, I would like for sega to use Lost World as a testing ground for future releases. Please consider it SEGA.
