Hatsune Miku Makes First Western Appearance on Nintendo 3DS with MIRAI Remix!Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI Remix (working title), an enhanced version of the popular Japanese video game Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI 2, will launch in the West on Nintendo 3DS in 2015! A fan favorite franchise, Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI Remix will mark the first release from the Project MIRAI series outside of Japan and also the first appearance of Hatsune Miku game on a Nintendo platform outside of Japan. Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI Remix features characters rendered in beautiful stereoscopic 3D, with two different rhythm game modes (button and touch) and three difficulties per song. Players will enjoy a highly customizable experience with user customization options for button icons and sounds, character costumes and gear for the character rooms. Players can create and share personalized player cards that show off who you are as well as create customized dance routines to the songs, your own musical phrase and personalized comments about their favorite in-game videos, all via StreetPass. The game also utilizes the AR card and photo capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS to bring characters to life in 3D. “Hatsune Miku’s popularity in the West keeps growing, and we are proud to support such an amazing franchise with our games,” said John Cheng, President and COO, SEGA of America.

Great news, I may look into this, since Ouendan haven’t touched a touch rhythm game, thanks to the region lock on the console of course.
If only we cold have similar news about Yakuza 5…

Just give me a physical release and you can have all my money (not really, but it’s a day-one purchase).
I’m supporting every Miku release and hope you guys keep them coming, and don’t forget that we want more games localized like this.

this is great news sega thank you. i was wondering though, in japan you have Project Diva games in the arcade which we dont have here in na and they contain lots of cool tracks like the sega original “Quartet of Multiple Futures” that we dont get to enjoy in north america. i under stand that those songs are exclusive to the arcade to encourage people to play them in the arcade but is there anyway you could make them available to us Project Diva fans in NA? or at least “Quartet of Multiple Futures” i really want that song in the home version really bad. thanks for listening i hope all the miku ventures are profitable for you.

For those who may be unaware of this~ SEGA-AM2 (Legendary creators of VF, Shenmue, OutRun & Other classic Hits) are been involved with the Project Mirai.

Now I only want that Good Smile sells the Nendoroids of Hatsune on Americas to cheap the import process to Brazil.
II’m also hoping that Mirai Remix add the Mirai 1 (buttons at a clock) gameplay to all its songs along with other changes.

Well, this finally renders my Japanese 3DS obsolete! I got it for the Project mirai series and have been enjoying it a ton, but now all the games I used it for are finally getting western releases. I’m not mad, though; it’s always great news when more games go global! I’m glad Hatsune Miku’s picking up enough steam in the west to facilitate more of her awesome games getting releases. I’ve been a fan since the first Project DIVA on PSP.
I’ll definitely pick this up even though I already have the Japanese version. Gotta support it! Let’s hope mirai 3, if that becomes a thing, comes over here as well!

VOCALOID’s official facebook says that it will be available only North America and Asia in general. Then, when saying “West”, are Europe and South America included as well?

yeah, nice one John Cheng.
I’m sure you’re not missing any games that us fans have been crying over for years, and you chose only the games that take little effort to localize.
but I will still buy this and enjoy it

Yay!!! Now I can’t wait for 2015! I have so much stuff to look forward to now, like new episodes of Attack on Titan, the manga for Mekakucity Actors, and now finally Project Mirai!
(I bought the first one not knowing that region lock existed and wasn’t able to play it so now I’m super excited that it’s coming to the west so I’ll finally be able to play it!)
